It's literally impossible to stop people from using 3rd party devices to macro. Also, devs aren't exactly marketing gurus, they don't have control over what merchandise gets put out any more than we do.

Mouse-over macros would make the game more playable.

The game is already playable. Everyone is in the same boat, ergo level playing field.

My point is they said no macros in game but then endorse a device to make them.

Certainly it cant be that hard for you to grasp?
