I feel your pain, but - ironically - they made more people happy than upset with the changes. Way more non-Healers than healers.

And having healers quit won't change anything. People will cry for dual spec to come out faster, then everyone will have a spec that heals; and a crappy healer on raid-day is better than no healer on raid day.

Like Syndrome said in The Incredibles, "When everyone is special, no one will be."

Curiously the rationale behind that nerf was that fights were ending too quickly, yet now they go and implement this dps deathmatch.

I loved to heal on my Merc healer. Now not so much T_T I dont like it at all as how fast you go out of heat or to 40 heat now. Its crazy.
About the whine on interrupts I guess ppl dont know what to interrupt as you said and the immune to interrupt is a 2min CD.

I will try some dps spec probably.

And the whine about not beaing able to kill healers, I think most ppl have played WoW and you CANT kill a healer on 85 that have gear solo. Maybe after 10-15min after he is OOM. So I dont know why ppl rage so much about it in this game.
If anything its the Tanks that make healers OP as they can guard and taunt. Nerf guard instead or remove it and stuff wont be that impossible to kill. But as usuall the ******* or kids whine about 1v1 in an MMO....

and I just cant find in my mind the reason as to WHY 1 dps should kill 1 healer, I really dont. 1 dps on 1 healer and he is out from the game. Sure he wont die but he will have to heal himself so others will die.

Their are great healers in here, posting their vast experiences and bringing obvious, justifiable concerns about having the play style and healing capabilities altered.

Then there are the dps whores telling the great healers to shut up and deal with it and if you can't you just suck....the same dps whores who qqed to get the nerfs in the first place.

I wonder who is the more intelligent and skilled of the two?

I see good sorcs do it all the time on Ajunta Pall. Your class gets those damage dealing skills for a reason, you know.

Expertise is of no importance before level 50. Part of the reason why the 10-49 isn't really of any importance for the whole expertise/mitigation/healing discussion. That the situation in the 10-49 therefore is a totally different one is obvious and therefore I would refrain from trying to give any advices based on your experience there.

Great post by the OP.

But what far too many people fail to realize is that Swtor is not a competitive PvP game. It was not designed with PvP to be its primary focus. And get ready for it, here it comes..

Most of the people who play swtor are terrible.

Nobody interuppts, and if they do they interuppt the wrong thing. Most people just feel like they are pro becuase they sat online doing nothing but warzones 24/7 and got the best gear possible at the time for it.

If you were to compare the player base and skillcap of this game in comparison to say, Burning Crusade WoW, you'd see a vast difference. Its VERY rare to come across a player who has skill. So all these people shouting that 1v1 healer vs dps a "skilled " dps should win, no. You never saw people whining about healers being " too strong" in WoW. They found ways to kill them without screaming for the nerfbat. Try using CC, try interuppting, try forcing cooldowns at the appropriate times.

PvP is not who is more overpowered, it is a game of chess, and unfortunately like a poster said before me, there are far many more DPS than there are healers in this game and no matter how much we healers exclaim our grievances, the opposing voice will be louder. Its unfortunate, but we can only be terrible for so long.

Now its time to stick in there and wait for out 10-15% buff.

Pretty much this. It should be about skill and cds. If the dps uses his cds properly and the healer fails to do so the healr dies if the healer is more skilled he lives. Right now you can beat up, not even caring about the healing he will die anyway.

I don't normally bring the average down, but this is horribly wrong. If healers can't survive against any one person, then what's the point of having a healing class? Said person would be better off surviving just as long, or winning, by playing a class that actually does damage back to the attacker while mitigating some of the incoming damage.

I said it before, and I'll say it again... a healer should be able to counter - through, avoidance, recovery, or mitigation - ANY single source of damage.
