I think this highlights the problem generally. 1.2 had so much information, and so many iterations of it, it was hard to keep track of everything. and then the patch notes themselves were a small novel, meaning no one really wanted to read them and take notes.

The information they do communicate from test and so on is very hard to follow interweaved with live info, and it's hard to figure out their most current view on a topic.

Seems to have the most recent info I can find, but honestly, I have no idea.

I'm sure the correct information is out there, but it's nearly impossible to sort through unless you forum troll constantly and have a nearly perfect memory that keeps things in order.

Well, it is, but it wasn't unannounced, I'll give you that.

Yep. I don't like the way the PvP gear looks, and I have a very old orange gear that I think looked a lot better relative to the way a Sith should look. Very sad that I lose my set bonus by switching. I moved it to the chest piece, which is the majority of the look, but I dislike the rest of the look. Furthermore, the War Hero legs are just terrible looking. Green pants? Really? Why can't I look like a darn Sith from the movies? Arg!

Please Bioware, put the set bonus with the mods as you stated once so we can customize our PvP look. I don't want to look like your PvP artists idea of a sith. I want to look like the Sith from the movies.

Jeez.

Wouldn't it be nice, if we could just get PvP and PvE modification vendors/drops...

there is no reason that BM gear armoring should not have had the set bonus on it. armoring was not removable pre 1.2, so if you had BM gear the armoring was still in it. how hard would it have been to replace that armoring with a new armoring, same stats but WITH the set bonus attached?

they did that will the mod and enhancement in BM gear to update the stats. not sure why they didnt bother to do it with armoring either.

laziness abounds

Some guy just posted this:

The real question is, if we can realize how pointless it is, why can't Biofail?

im confused, so can the stats be transfered in any orange armor or just certain ones?

Stats will always get transferred.

On set items bought before 1.2, the set bonus is tied to the shell item and cannot be transferred.

On set items bought after 1.2, the set bonus is tied to the armoring and can be transferred. This is evidently not limited to the WH/Campaign set, but extends to BM, Tionese and the like.

Seemingly, BW acknowledged this as an unintended issue (as displayed in a dev response in another thread and the above quoted tweet), so it might get fixed. The pach notes are a bit ambiguous to say the least.
