200 comms is like 1 week of farming dailies. If it takes you 1 month to get 200, then you aren't doing enough dailies.

It's indeed a joke as I found out today. Got this nice "legacy mainhand weapon" thing in the mail and fully expected it to level with me. You know like you got that character that you want to level up through pvp, and instead of buying a new pvp weapon every 10 (!!) levels and using **** in between, I could have one level with me. Problem solved!

But no. Nothing's solved. Lvl 14 Legacy weapon. Doesn't scale. Apparently if you don't get the schematics per mail, it costs a ****ton of daily commendations.

Well, what can I say. It's pointless. Go to the GTN and buy a barrel for your starter orange and you're better off. Chances are you can afford MILLIONS of barrels if your main is lvl 50 and you'd have outleveled that awesome legacy weapon like instantly.

Legacy gear (beside moddable oranges) needs to level with the characters or be extremely cheap. Nobody wants to farm a week, HOURS every day, for a lvl 14 weapon that he might replace one, two hours later.

Come on, Bioware. User your heads!!

90% of this "Legacy" crap is just that..crap. not enough slots to use the race unlocks unless you delete a character..stupid.

the only good things out of this patch are

- matching chest slot colors
- sprint at lvl 1

uuuh..I swore there was 1 more but the bugs and other crap with this patch made me forget......

again..this "Legacy" crap is crap.

There's an update today, maybe the prices were a mistake and they're going to correct it today, who knows .

While some of the legacy orange pieces are a bit expensive, the wrist and waist armor pieces are a bargain given what orange armor for those slots goes for in the GTN. Blade Tyrant's bracers goes for around 220,000 creds and I can get the legacy wrist and waist and still have creds left over to get the mod slots filled and then some.

There are also legacy items for 2000 Fleet commendations ROFL. Thats 100x Ascended Barrier(last imperium mission) = 800 minutes of flying the same mission you already did 50x

The prices were the same on PTS for ages, i'm fairly sure they are the intended prices.

The Legacy gear(with the exception of belt/bracer) is pretty much worthless junk anyway unless you want re-skinned sub-par non-augment custom gear OR just want to torture yourself to get insanely overpriced/timesinked blue gear that is bound to legacy yet still ridiculously class/armor type limited.

My mind is literally boggled trying to figure out why they would waste so much time and effort on such a useless system.

even if it takes you a week to grind this, by the time you have that amount you outlevelled it isnt it ?

I got a token for a weapon inheratance in the mail and went to dromund kaas to see legacy vendors. It was lvl 14 and useable for a juggernaut. Since i'm a juggernaut & am level 50. What is the purpose for it? in case i like to reroll another juggernaut ?

I didnt got the picture there either. Please enlighten me anyone whats it for , cause i have no clue ???

I have to admit, while I like the legacy stuff, the costs on a lot of it are just absurd for what you get. This feedback was on the PTS too but apparently was just ignored.

Considering they said most of the player base have less than a half-million credits, this multi-million stuff is ridiculous. I mean 2M credits for a rocket boost and another 3.5m to reduce the cooldown by 3 secs. What the heck are they thinking. 1M for a ship droid that gives me no benefit over using standard vendors (no reduced repair costs, etc.).

As for the armor, same thing. I can get a blank shell orange and use 24 commendations to completely mod it. Why, oh why, would I go for 200 commendations for a piece of inferior gear or 2,000 (ludicrous) fleet commendations for it.

Unfortunately, I think BW is starting to fall into that trap that turns off so many MMO players today - excessive grinds to maximize content. Grinding is okay and expected, it was balanced okay before the patch. Excessive grinding just makes me shake my head and want to look elsewhere for my entertainment - I won't play a GAME that turns into massive WORK. Already have enough of that in my life.

At this point, I'm holding off on the legacy stuff. BW seemed to really, really miss the mark on pricing/value with this one.

I understand they are trying to add credit sinks to the game, but this just went way overboard IMHO.

No. I literally dont want this gear at all, even if it were 1 dailly comm i wouldnt get it, it has no appeal to me. Hell even if it was free I wouldnt go out and get it unless i really needed it - which honestly the logging on to a different character and going through numerous loading screens to get the planet/vendor, to then have to mail the gear to my alt and wait for that mail to come through, log back on my alt and then go to another planet to trade in the gear all for something that will at most last me a few levels and ill get better stuff just by questing eventually - makes it completely not worthwhile.

If you cant see that such a, relatively speaking, useless and in my opinion inconvient item is so frigging expensive (200 daily comms) for one piece of gear, then honestly you're blind.

The only way this price could even possibly be worth it is if it scaled with your character all the way to 50 (and end-game ie. had augment slots). Even then I doubt I'd buy any of them but the price could possibly be justifiable, if just a tad too expensive still.
