200 comms is 1 month of farming dailies.

It costs 200 comms for a pair of level 14 pants that are essentially a blue item and are class specific and completely unmoddable.
No, I completely get that you really want this item for vanity purposes, but don't want to work for it.

In my opinion?

HA!

It's absolute fact that the legacy gear is waaaaaaay to expensive off the daily vendors.

To get a full compliment of lowbie legacy gear for 1 character, it will only take 9 months of farming at the daily comm conversion rate.

The point is the gear is useless after a very short time at very low levels. It needs to scale with you to be of any use.
Exactly, with as expensive as it is the gear should scale with you. Anyone trying to defend it in the current state is just a flaming fanboy.

How is he derailing the thread? The point is the gear is... pointless. For any and everyone, even people sitting there with a million daily tokens.

Instead of doing a month of dailies you could do ONE day of dailies and buy a full set of purples off the GTN for your alt that probably better than the yellows from the Legacy vendor. Hell even buying the full set of oranges and fully modding them would be faaar more time/cost effective than buying one of the tokens for a yellow item.
Not Meant to Be a Factual Statement

The plural of anecdote is not data

Yep. Gear is pointless, especially the legacy weapon. Everyone gets an orange weapon after starting world.

Add in the legacy vendor Orange is Super Duper Stupid expensive.

I'm not necessarily talking about the orange gear.

Some people might like the legacy oranges for cosmetic purposes.

I'm specifically talking about the yellow gear that you buy with the construction kits.

A construction kit costs 200 daily comms.

And with the new Correllia dailies, you can get maybe 20 daily comms a day if you grind out all dailies.

That is an insanely bad design choice all around. It seems everything having to do with Legacy elements is either 1) Far too expensive or 2) requires moronic amounts of grinding. This is absolutely contrary to the kind of benefit the Legacy system should be to players.

Nobody should have to grind for a month for a single bloody piece of cosmetic gear, much less one that is statted so poorly and not viable for the life of the character. The state of Legacy "conveniences, social, and cosmetic" functions being inordinate time and money sinks is just bloody insulting.

It's not even the cosmetic gear.

The cosmetic gear simply costs credits.

Gotta love that logic. Someone points out a problem and your reponse is basicaly for them to ignore that the problem exists and go on with their lives.
