Update on Ranked Warzones in Game Update 1.2

sadly they got my cash till the 28th......did'nt even bother downloading patch.....

They point wasnt the ranked so much for me, it was only preseason anyway. The thing that im most agrivated about is 200+ more hours of grinding with half pug groups. I just want 8 mans, dont care if they are ranked or not. I am seriously on the fence as to weither to put anymore time in this game till they implement that.

This is the correct way to acknowledge a problem to the community. Just be up front an honest. I've done my share of complaining, but what makes me sad is seeing player basically say, please give us broken content. All I've read is voluminous posts detailing every minor bug, and you'd like me to think you won't complain if something happens in the middle of a ranked warzone. BioWare doesn't want to induce you into a keyboard destroying fit of "Hulk smash" rage.

SO you are 100% absolutely positively SURE they did'nt know it was'nt ready even let's say 48 hours ago? C'mon wake up man, they KNEW, you work the rest out, it's not hard.

Ok I get that for some it's a major part, I just don't see why, and that is what I am wondering, what did ranked WZ mean, what does it add that is important enough to unsub?
So you aren't ranked for another week. month, whatever, is it just a bragging rights thing?

I'm sincerely trying to see the POV on this, I just don't.

then AT LEAST open the 8-men queing so that we dont have to endlessly farm WZ with afk randoms.
Or just dont announce something you are not able to provide.

Everybody here seems to be forgetting the absolute ****-up of the "patch" yesterday, which meant that many of us couldn't log in without downloading an additional 11Gb file. At this point in time there was no mention of Ranked WZ's being pulled.

BioWare have dropped the ball twice, not once, and I can guarantee that there will be no form of compensation for either of these mistakes/ommissions. It, alongside legacy, was the major selling point for 1.2, and now we "may" see it before 1.3.

I'm not too fussed about RWZ's being put back, but surely BioWare have known abotu this for weeks. Not days or hours. Weeks.

People that are saying "get over it, it's not that big a deal" clearly do not PvP on a regular basis, and must be on high-population servers. My guild recently lost a lot of members (5+) due to the lack of content within the game. Ops and FlashPoints get cleared within weeks. WZ's are the only grind in the game. Ranked WZ's was the carrot on the end of the stick for many players. That carrot is no longer there.

I reckon the my server will drop in lvl 50 population by around 10% based on this news. Not that much. But when you add it to the 50%+ drop that happened when everyone ran out of content it all adds up.

We're heading down a very slippery slope, pulling major content at the last minute. What will be pulled next patch? The log-in server?

It's not a case of "everything going as planned", it's a case of one of the highly touted (by BW themselves) features of this patch being cancelled at the last minute.

There are yellow posts saying we were informed as soon as the decision was made.
The point is that their customers should have been told as soon as the evidence indicated that the decision might have to be made.

And in regards to levelling a toon on PTS. If you want level 50 content tested (for free) but don't allow people to use templated characters for that content, you are guilty of a sin of omission. Paying customers don't have an obligation to test the product they're paying for. The responsibility for providing a reasonable product that meets advertised performance and provides advertised features lies with the company, not the consumer.

If this can't be done for unforeseen circumstances, then adequate compensation is called for.

As for the Ilum comparison, you realise that you're using an example of BW failing to competently design their promised open world PvP to explain away their failure to deliver on another promised PvP system

That what i was wondering. Why is this such a big deal? its still the same old warzones, your just being judged on your performance now.... u guys that are all butt sore are just being silly or trolling.

Since EA/Bioware doesn't seem to be able to fix open world pvp for pvpers there are only WZs and team balancing is a major issue in WZ's. Most of the matches are already decided before they started, so obviously the ranking system was a big thing for everybody that likes pvp.
