Yeah, I don't really understand why they waited until hours before they released the patch to make the announcement, but I actually give credit to BioWare for seeing design flaws and pulling it rather than just sending it live and praying it doesn't **** things up too badly. I really don't think they did it this way in order to trick people into resubscribing, though maybe it did have that effect. I have to admit that it's difficult for me to feel too much sympathy for those people, who are still getting a ton of neat stuff in this patch.

It won't work too well without cross server anyways.

It's just too much strain on a small server to queue as the low faction already without making most of the player base queue somewhere else.

I say its a good thing this give bioware the time to fix their dang
Game ( hacks, cheaters, exploiters etc..) before releasing ranked/rated wZ

Cross server/Merge should have been priority #1. FAR above the need for new gear. Cross server + Ranked WZ = result everyone wanted to begin with, a fairer playing field.

And like many have said, it's hard enough to field a regular PVP queu now... Seperating players out further would be death. But they should have known that from the beginning.

But they focused on window dressing and nerfs that won't actually do much to improve the game while ignoring the main thing that could have made a difference.

I'm not gonna unsub cause PVE is still enjoyable IMO and that's what this game really is anyway. PVP is just an afterthought. But when D3 comes out it's gonna be a tough decision about which game to go with.

I have unsubbed since pvp suck in this game and devs dont care since this is a pve game.

was looking forward to rated, not dissappointed in the least that they cut it from the patch to polish it more.

This, but it's not just small servers.

My server is a standard to high pop PVE server and already I know who my group will face in ranked over and over. Since matches are based on skill and so forth then there's really only 1 Imperial and 3 Republic teams my Republic team is likely to face. 2 other teams on the Imperial side and 1 more on the Republic side might give us some competition but we will likely only be matched against them when the other teams are not on. The rest of the people who queue on my server do it casually and are very unlikely to form premades.

Going up against the same people over and over will get old fast. Thus, implement either a cross server solution or make this an option on high pop PVP servers (e.g., Fatman) where ranked will happen constantly.

Good IMO. They need cross server before they do rated. There is too much imbalance across all servers. Cross server needs to be priority number 1. Then rated. On my server it would have been a disaster. I know others as well.
