Looks like they are getting ready for the 1st major patch (1.2) with the biggest IP in mmorpg history.

http://buy.swtor.com/us/

Tell me again how is this indicating "SWTOR subs steadily growing and 1.2 will push the game to a new peak".

I should have known... EA do NOT care, since the sales of the boxes and 1st 3 mo sub $$ made their development cost back.

That's nothing unusual.

Apparently you don't understand that a sale doesn't mean a game or any other product is in trouble. When Apple has special deals for ipads do you think that means the ipad is a flop??

Lower price + Big Update = more potential purchases. What they are doing is a smart move to anyone who chose to wait a few months after launch to buy.

I useto buy console games (Yes their different) at $60.00 first day, then 3-4 months later its already $40.00.

So whats the point? It's not going to stay the same price forever.

I couldnt recall the 1st Clearance sale Blizzard did when they released wow. The title carried its original price THRU TBC... and never reduced until they release the deluxe editions 2 years later (which is the price to buy original WoW + TBC -$10 in the US).

And yet a game like Skyrim was on sale about two months after it's release, and it was considered one of if not the best game of last year. Your point is a bad one.
