Why does it seem like most of you think that they are putting in a half baked legacy system and others think it was something to be in a launch?
Because http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ohkW88Qtht0 . When I first saw the 1.2 trailer, I thought they were adding the stuff in the trailer at 1.2. Why? Because maybe it saids in big letter, "1.2 LEGACY TRAILER". Not 1.3, not 1.4, not 1.5. But 1.2. Did I misunderstood it somehow?

Many players including myself, believed the Legacy System was suppose to be in at launch. What game launches with a feature that have no use to the game? 4 month of playing, with a level 43 legacy and it does not bring anything to the table. It was a feature that was there at launch but all it was, was a useless experience bar.

Before launch: Check it out, SWTOR will have this amazing Legacy system that will blow all other games away!

At launch: Legacy is coming guys! It will blow any other MMOs AWAY!

4 months after launch: Soon guys! Legacy will kick so much ***!

4.5 months after launch: Finally, some legacy stuff! Most of it is coming later but oh my god, Legacy! So awesome! Best game ever 10/10!

So a funny story about quality and paying for it...

Knew a guy who had a thing with his truck. He went to the spot to get it fixxed. When he got to the spot, the other guys says, "we will look at it and give you an answer, we are pros here."

So the first guy tell the other guy, "sure, keep it, diagnose it, charge me what you have to - but get it right, and let me know."

Second guys says, "its what we do, we are pros. It will cost ya lil upfront see, but we will get it right."

So they keep the truck at the spot and do the thing on it to try and figure out what the thing is that is wrong with it. With me so far?

Later, they get the guy on the phone, and the other guy tells him, "its this thing. Gonna cost ya about this much, but it should get it up and running."

The guy says to the other guy," should? Either yas know what is wrong or ya dont. It is that thing or not?"

The other guy says, " ya its this thing. So ya want me to do it or what?"

The guy says, "yeah - if you say its that - its what I gave you scratch for so yeah, fix it, and let me know when its ready."

The other guy says, "okay gotcha, gimme eh, maybe two days. Call me in three if I dont call you."

Now they fix the truck they says at that spot, they get the thing fixxed with it. But when the guy comes and gets it from the other guy, it breaks down again not too far from the spot.

The guy call the other guy, " I though you said you had this thing fixxed?"

The other guy says," well I told you it should be that, but not really sure."

The guy says, " no I asked you - what ya mean should be? And you said yeah its this."

The other guy says, " nah - you misunderstood."

The guy says, "yeah, I misunderstood alright, get me your boss."

So the guy talks to the other guys boss. Other guys boss aint too happy to here something is going right in his spot. But the guy talks to him, and tries to understand a bit.

The guy says, " so I paid for a check on this truck so you could find out whats wrong with it, and then fix it. You guys are the pros, thats what the other guy said and thats why I came to you guys."

The other guys boss says, " yeah, I see that. So what the problem?"

The guys says, " I paid you money for something and I didnt get it. Whats next on the this diagnosis thing eh? You tell me my blinker fluid is low and it gonna cost x-amount to fix it? What happens when that isnt it? Maybe I need more air in my tires? You guys pros or what? You know your **** or what?"

The other guys boss says, " not really used to being talked to this way, but you gotta point. I know you paid for something, but these things aint always perfect."

The guys says," hey, I aint expecting perfection. I am expecting what I paid for - a working truck. I paid for a fix, I didnt get it, now tell me real quick why I paid again? Let me ask you - if it was your money what would you say?"

The other guys boss thinks about it a second and say, " yeah - i would be raising a *****torm. You aint asking for something for free, you want what we agreed to and what you paid for, I get it. Leave your truck here, we will fix it. I will call you when its done."

They fixxed the guys truck, and its till running today. The guy still goes to that spot for minor work on his truck that he wants done by a pro. The other guy usually work on the guys truck too.

I wonder if the guy would still be going to the spot if he said his piece and didnt get his fair end of it. I wonder if the other guys boss would have agreed to the thing if he though the guy was trying to get something for free. I wonder if the other guy should have a spot at the spot and what the othe guys boss is thinking about the other guy.

Its a funny thing that happened that one time at the spot with the guy.

all i know is Wrath of the LICH KING launched without you being able to actually fight the lich king.

it took about what 7 months for the lich king to become available to fight.
Sgt. Boos Macarrage - Republic Trooper/Vanguard - PVE Tank Spec
Prophecy of the Five - US East PVP
Republic Commandos: First Ones In, Last Ones Out. Never Quit. Never Fail.

In many players minds MMOs are supposed to launch with every bit of content imaginable right now. If they do not launch with every bit of content imaginable then obviously they are destined to fail. Didnt you get the memo?
