No, you aren't entitled to anything. You paid for current content, nothing more. Everything you pay for is already ingame, anything in the future is bonus content. That's the end of the discussion, as no matter what you say, it won't change that fact.

Can we please not get into the idiotic "I pay therefore I get whatever I want" v. "You pay and get whatever they give you" argument?

Maybe we could aspire to talking about what ::actually:: reasonable expectations are... or just stick to the thread topic?

In this interview on day 1 of Pax East 2012, James Ohlen drops that 1.2 will be out in the next week (17:12 on the vid, and quoted in the text underneath).
Yes, but I also read in the dev tracker forums that he may have mispoke and honestly. They said it would be out in April. Patch days are on Tuesdays so that leaves 4/10, 4/17, and 4/24 left.

We know it's not going to be the 10th because we would of had a warning already. So that leaves the 17th or 24th unless they give us a last minute postpone for nxt month.

We are however entiteled to set the demands for our continuing subscription.
Example:
If you do not do X within Y weeks then I'm going to leave!

Is that fair? Perhaps not. Whenether they fullfill our demand is completly up to them and we choose if we find thier choices acceptable.

We pay for a service. If the service is not up to the standards of quality that the costumer expects/or is promised, then that person is entitled to discontinue subscribing to that service.

The service, in this case SWTOR is responsible for producing a steady stream of content for their consumers to enjoy. Failure to do so = Sub losses, which = profit losses.

But with this logic, they might as well close down the forum, because you know we use them for the reason they are here, to discuess what we like or dont like about the game.

But we arent entitled to that, so....

Discuss yes, demand, no. Demand implies you have a right to outright "demand" anything, without reason. Request however, implies you are willing to compromise.

The use of language is important, as demanding is what mobs do, requesting is what the civilized among us do.

If I had "demanded" a PlayStation for Christmas, I would have gotten a smacked arse and no dinner, and probably grounded, but if I had requested one, and politely explained the reasons why, as well as understanding if it wouldn't happen, then my parents were very willing to compromise, ending up giving me and my brother one to share.

Once you put down your signs and stop your demanding regime, join us up here in the VIP lounge, where the coffee is fresh, the manners flow like water, and we don't treat our fellow man like tied up dogs. K silly bears?

Correct, and that is as far as your 'entitlement' goes.

Wrong. The 'service' is the current content, nothing more, that is what you pay to access. Yes, a lack of expansion will inevitably loose subs, however that does not make those expansions an entitlement.
