He's not talking about coding. He's talking about systems design.

I don't remember lagging in Alterac Valley since like 2008.
Yeah because WoW models and textures are so simplistic and easy to render. The fact that you even lagged there should be evidence enough about the behavior of clients under stress. Everything in WoW is an optical illusion. From the scenery to the sky to the character models.

Yes because having a great idea makes it magically appear, instantly. Jesus...

I can render 50 people and their vendor pets in the main city in TERA no problem, at a higher frame rate than SWTOR with 1 or 2 people in line of sight on the fleet. Both games at max settings.

Bad engine and no optimization are not an excuse.

I'd believe that when I see it with my own eyes.

Also, 80 people in a tiny little instanced zone on a game with mspaint graphics isn't a basis for comparison.

Do you somehow expect to see people half way across the continent or what? You're only ever going to see people near you, regardless of the size of the zone.

20 FPS is certainly not the "effin' slideshow" people are claiming it to be, and I can't even count how many people are on this screen at the moment - but it's way over 50.

I'm paid up till July, I paid for a 6 month sub, so BW still has time before I have to worry about stuff like that.

Thank you for being a fine example of the typical MMO player. If it's so crap and every other game ever made is better, why are you here crying about it being crap instead of playing those other games? Why are you a customer of a service you hate? Every single detail about the game was readily available months before launch. Every feature and system was known well beforehand. Who else is there to blame but yourself?

Oh and I'd hate to do what you do, if 15 a month is hard earned. I bet you spend more on cookies a month.

You are missing the point - NO MMO will EVER be "complete" or "bugless" - therefore, based on what you're saying, MMOs should never be published - 'cos that's what would happen.
Didn't we just leave this party?
