Right, lets just abandon all our 50's and start over after 4 months of playing.
Cake is a lie, there is only pie. Through pie, I gain calories.
Through calories, I gain bodyfat. Through bodyfat, I gain weight.
Through weight, my social life is broken.

So you felt the need to come post this clever comment to a thread that is about a valid issue where people are conserned about the mistake that BW themself made with opening too many servers at lauch so the population is spread on too many servers, and now the paying customers are paying the price of it.

Im sure youre the first person who has come up with such a clever comment. I salute you Sir, thanks for providing this important tip. Genius at work.

No I was inserting some reality into the conversation; I have a fifty on a dead server....instead of crying about it I listened to what BioWare was planning and rolled an alt on the server I am planning to transfer my main to.

It's called making a mature decision.

No one said abandon....you are a all or nothing kind of guy...you know that?

Find the populated server that you want to play on roll alt until transfers become available.....it beats crying on the forums right?

Oh no! 4 months!

I've had an account on STO for 2 years, and an account on Entropia for 4.5 years.

4 months is nothing. Seriously. You're blowing this WAY out of proportion.

LOL, BTW... your SWTOR forum account is 40 months old... December 2008. You have LITERALLY been on this forum for 10x the amount of time as you have been playing... but 4 months is "forever". Got it...

Nah, it called pending over and paying the price for BWs own mistakes.

Have fun, until that server is dead too.

So you start over and 4 months from now you are in exactly same situation since EA/BW refuse to address the real issues why this game is running empty. No thanks.

Thanks for sharing those incredibly pointless stats with us. Here are some incredibly pointless stats for you!

I have a job. I have obligations and responsibilities. I have real family and friends (You remember those, right? People you can talk to without a headset.) that I spend more than holidays and special occasions with. Four months to me is like four days for some players who are able to devote hours a day/night to game play. In addition to not losing my characters (and all the things that go with them), I enjoy playing with the handful of online friends I have on my current server - people who also do not want to lose all their progress. Not to mention, that quote from Bioware about working on the issue does not indicate whether or not this is a service we will have to pay for or a service they will offer as a temporary courtesy. So, do I roll another character on another server that does not benefit my legacy in any way or do I roll alts on my current server to build up my legacy and hope I'll be able to transfer them without spending a bunch of money?
Evil is a word used by the ignorant and the weak. The dark side is about survival. It's about unleashing your inner power. It glorifies the strength of the individual.
