Everyone reading this thread should comment and pledge never to play Huttball, and to leave the warzone every time they try to force you to play Huttball.

Huttball is the worst, most infuriating game I have ever played. The teams are never balanced, so one team is always crushing the other. It doesn't matter how good you are, because if you were unlucky enough to get on the bad team you will lose, and there is nothing you can do to change that. I can't stand the announcer's voice in the game. There is absolutely nothing fun in the slightest about it.

Huttball shouldn't even be considered a Warzone, since you are playing against other Imperial or Republic players. They should call it a gamezone, and separate it from the true warzones in which you fight the opposing faction. Or better yet, we should be allowed to choose which warzones we queue up for, since the only warzone that I consider fun is the control the turret warzone.

While it is true that World of Warcraft is dead, there can be no way the Old Republic is the future as long as Huttball is forced down our throats every time we queue for PvP Warzones.
I don't understand why you think that just because you don't like huttball, everyone else shouldn't either?? Get over yourself

I love huttball, because it really shows the difference between people who understand objective-based pvp, and those who just know how to deathmatch people (I call them Arena-kiddies).

Whatever your favorite WZ is, I am sure I can point out 2 dozen reasons why Huttball is better.

Don't hate on the WZ when its just that you're bad.

While I am grinding gear I dont mind HB but not because its fun. it has more to do with the fact that it is still worth 3 points towards my daily and if the imp team has a metric ton of force users it is over in most cases very fast.heck my favorite HB match are the ones that end in 120 secs.

Yes I know come 1.2 the gear grind will change but as of now I play for fun and to some extent the gear as well as valor rank.

As OP as Juggers may seem at times, you can control their movement. With Assassins, you cannot.
I'd argue that it is actually the Juggernaut who controls your movement. You can't get ahead of them when they have the ball, otherwise you're just giving them a faster path to the goal.

What really makes them frustrating is the scenario that most of them will set up:

They will jump down in the pit with the ball. This of course drags any melee you have down with them, otherwise they can't continue to attack the Juggernaut. Any ranged opponents must make an effort to stay on the platforms and position themselves in such a way so that when the Juggernaut charges them, he will hopefully fall back down. Though most good Juggs are not going to do this, because while they are down in the pit biding their time, there will usually be someone on their team who will try to run to the "endzone." If that person makes it there you then have a set up that is hard to counter:

1. Anyone who tries to go over and knock that person down into the pit with the Jugg becomes the target the Jugg needs to jump up to the endzone. This means, no melee can challenge that person, only ranged.

2. If you have a pull you don't want to use it on that person because the Jugg might jump to them right as you pull. You must save it for the Jugg.

3. If that person is a sorc/sage, you're boned. Between Extricate and the Juggs "intercede" or pass, they will likely score because you'd need to counter the Extricate with a pull, then the intercede with one as well. If you can get someone there in time to knock back the Sorc/Sage you might stop a score, but you also will likely be the target the Jugg needs to charge, and by then he's almost guaranteed to have full resolve.

Now I'm not trying to argue that they are more of a threat than an Assassin when carrying the ball, that was never my intention. I simply wanted to point them out to the OP who somehow completely forgot about them.

I'm sure once x-server rateds go live you will see both a Juggernaut and an Assassin(as well as Republic counterparts) on probably every top team because they both can create an environment where it is extremely difficult to stop them from scoring once they make it to that last obstactle, whether it be the last fire pit, or the pit itself.

I agree with the OP. There really is no open world PVP in this game, so we are left with WZs. I play WZs to PVP. Huttball is about doing as little PVP as possible. At least in Voidstar and Alderaan I am guaranteed some semblance of kill or be killed. Huttball is a guarded, heal spamming, slowed, knockedback-fest that I do not enjoy.

I detest Huttball.

From today and onward I have begun to leave all Huttball matches prior to game start. That should still allow the game to find a new player, and if not... *shrugs*.

I beg to differ on that. I've been in many Huttball matches where the teams were pretty even and the score was ofton tied with the winner being determined by who could keep the ball when the timer ran out. However, I've also been in ones where we got owned by the other team or vice versa. The same can be said for Voidstar and Alderaan. Your chances of winning are pretty much the same in all 3 WZs.

Huttball takes more team effort to win than the other 2 so maybe you need to try working with the other players in your group more.
