about so called "heavily populated servers"
this one is Fatman reported as Heavy at that time and 259 lvl 50 imperial side?
pfffff
and this is heavy?
Loooooooooooo
ooooooo
ooooooo
oooooooooooooooooo
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooL
after all, the whole game is lvl 50 pvp...oh wait..Its not. Face it, most pvp players are flakes, they joined the game, rolled on pvp servers, played 1 month, and went back to whatever else they were doing. How many lvl 50's are out doing dailies or the like and not hanging around on the fleet base wasting time?

Merging servers is a must at the moment. I play on Peragus Mining Facility which was at launch an extremely populated server (one of the highest in fact), now at peak times you would be very luck to see 90 people in the fleet, finding groups is impossible and getting a warzone takes forever. I know that 1.2 will see cross server warzones, but this is not going to fix the problem, only make it worse. All that's going to happen is yes we will get more warzones but also lose that rivalry that people gain through pvping with the same people. A cross server system would lose all of that, warzones will become places where there is no rivalry's and people instead fight faceless figures that you will probably never see again. Plus it's still not going to fix the problem with the lack of populations on servers, there are at lease 10 European servers that permanently have a light population... I have spoken to people who have come from servers with 10 people in the fleet at peak times, that's just ridiculous. Get rid of cross server and start merging them...

Right, because them leaving has absolutely nothing to do with the abysmal state of end-game PvP in this game. C'mon, let's be reasonable here; even the developers came out and admitted they missed the mark.

I don't even PvP for the most part, but I can understand the frustration of PvPers.

Bioware has no business in a MMO, they should have stuck with single player games. Clearly they have no experience in this field.

We definitely need merges asap, not transfers but merges! Please Bioware, the majority of the U.S. servers are Light population; it is not fun to log on and find 15-20 people on the republic fleet. I do not want to re-roll and rebuild my legacy/gear earned.

Sad..... I really liked how my smuggler looks/acts but he lives in a ridiculously boring and lame world. I'm not that shallow lol....

I feel that is a strong statement, everyone has to start somewhere and for a company to go from single player based games straight to a MMO, I think they are doing very well.

Server Merges on that note though do need to happen before people start playing a single player game and then once bored stop subscribing.

Certain servers are completely empty and we are going to loose players, meaning the game will lack funds and become stale etc.

I want this game to last, and don't want to see it go F2P etc. certain things need to be addressed. People are not going to want to restart from scratch when they have spend 10 days plus leveling mains, gaining legacy xp ready for the 1.2 patch etc.

After seeing this thread and all the reply's from it, I'm sure Bioware are listening and they have something in the pipeline. I just hope its not to late

Rift is Trions first game yet look how it is? Its handled pretty well compared to SWTOR.
Bioware should have learned from the companies that failed and succeeded in mmos but they really didnt.

And i am sure bioware is listening after all, how can they miss these posts/topics? Everyone is complaining about merges and dead servers yet they havent really said anything about it. Merges NEED TO HAPPEN, NOT TRANSFERS but MERGES!!!!

As i have said before, the longer they wait the more of a beating they will get by Diablo 3 and Guild Wars 2. This game WILL end up like Warhammer if action isnt taken soon.

This. And every player leaving the game because of low population will give more bad publicity that a few server merges. Who in their right might would recommend Swtor to anyone. 'Yeah, its a nice game but about half the servers are dead so its pretty much a single player game'

In my experience when there is such little information being released, it is usually bad, very bad.
