It is hardly an argument if you can't back it up with a single fact, buddy.

It's just funny that you don't want to socialise with players from other servers because you don't trust any of them, yet claim you're concerned about community.

No, folks have pointed out why it doesn't stand.

as of right now, you haven't offered a valid argument against it...

Are you sithlordcip? or is he a sock puppet of yours? If not... your reasons can't actually support his argument.

Well get ready for cross server PVP LFG and same server LFG for PVE. Like it or not.

I only hope they will eventually add cross server LFG for PVE. I logged in last night to see the population of the servers and there was a lot of low pop ones. Was only one server that was very high ( The Fatman ) and 2 other heavy ones. I cannot see a server side only LFG tool working well on most servers. Time will tell.

Go read my post on page 2. Flashpoint groups found without tools in today's game are full of fail. The fail isn't caused by an LFG tool. It's caused by the tools who play the game.

The tool doesn't kill the community any more than the boat-like automobile kills throngs of people as it plows through the market. In both cases, people do the killing.

3 - It removes a large chunk of elitism from the game, games are meant to be fun, there is nothing fun about some upstart kicking you out of the group and then publicly broadcasting that dont play with this guy because his gear is not up to scratch. Ive seen that happen to too many players.
#3 is exactly what most of these "it destroy's community" people want. They want a few guilds at the top of the food chain dictating what portion of the game their lowly serfs get to play in.

It has more to do with control than it does with community. LFG tool is needed; anything short of cross-server is pointless.

How would LFG tool destroy a community? You mean LFG spam makes one?

I seriously don't get the logic behind this. It would be so much better for everyone if they could queue for something they want to do and could get a popup for it just like for a PvP match so that you don't need to spam LFG on fleet for hours and then log out from the game dissapointed because you couldn't get one.

Instead you could go for example dailies and once you get the group, socialize with them. In fact on my experience, I got more buddies to play with when there was the LFG tool for example RIFT. You get a nice group then chat with them and make friends. LFG certainly does NOT kill a community and I hate it when someone so states, because on my experience it's the totally opposite.

LFG tool HELPS you find others who are playing in same levels and doing same stuff.

This exactly. My friends list in WoW grew much more quickly through LFG than any other means. Just because the tool enables cross-server groups doesn't mean that every group member must always be from another server...
