It seems pretty clear to me.
I was actually thinking of them instancing the hubs so you can start the convos etc and follow that bright purple arrow on the minimap into the instance. It's only 1 extra loading screen. Much less than it is now.

Also, in world of warcraft you can armory people. Tends to shed light on why they never realized the problems with running dungeons - they'd never really done any or too many before LFG. After LFG went cross server the game shocked a lot of people - it was never possible to run so many dungeons before unless you were in a very dedicated raid guild. Of which there were relatively few.

Agreed. I particularly get amused by the people who say "Oh noes! It's free gear and epics!" I'm like, HELLO! You still have to actually run the instance and it takes more than one run to get enough badges/points etc to get a piece of gear. Regardless of how the group forms, if you do the run you deserve the reward!

Agreed.

This "community killer" theory just doesn't cut it.
The community itself is pretty sparse as is.

Well now that problems that go along with x-server definately exist in your book, you can stop trying to explain them away?

Some people think the pros outweight the cons, some don't.

What would be the problem with having a small hanfull of servers that don't go x-server while the rest do?

If you're lvl 50 meaning to tell people that theres nobody you've met over your server that you ended up playing with on a regular basis by now, then its no wonder you don't understand what people mean by community.

It's a middle of the path solution, there is some promise.
Our lack of a proper LFD tool will black out the sun!
Then we shall cancel our subs in the shade!

I would have no issue with that myself. The question is would it cause any problems with Bioware on their end to maintain those different styles. It SEEMS like it shouldn't be an issue if they can separate the PvE, RP and PvP rule sets.

So we can agree on have some x-server realms and have some non x-server realms?

The best part about that is we could see people vote with their feet rather than arguing about it over the forums. I would be more than willing to concede if the foot vote ended up so far away from in my favor that it wasn't worth doing.

Yea, everytime I healed a successful heroic or fp they'd try to get me to switch guilds (I'm the gm of a guild full of RL friends/family that would skin me if I left). Didn't hear from them much after hitting 50. I guess some people can't handle a polite "no but thanks for the offer."

Well I don't think x-server would be this game's messiah anyway so meh..

Group content in this game needs to be more engaging over the long term or else all the tool in the world won't help in the end.
