The PvP in GW2 will FAR outshine SWTOR if they don't hurry up and fix it.
I've seen it already. It doesn't change the fact that for every person that likes that kind of PvP, there's about 4 more that doesn't.

It doesn't matter how good the mechanics are, if people don't participate, there's no PvP.

It's happened in just about every MMO ever published. And it will be no different for GW2.

I certainly hope that's not what it looks like I'm even trying attempt, because I'm not. I'm just answering questions. And stating general observations that affect all games, not just TOR.

Just like everyone knows there is no such thing as a godsent MMO. And there never will be.

No, PvP in GW2 looks rubbish. Not only does it look rubbish but running around in a red or blue dress is just awful, plain and simple.

Well that's obvious; if you don't have mass participation then you don't have massive battles.

But out of all the PvP MMO's out Dark Age of Camelot lasted the longest and it released before WoW. Meaningful and fun PvP creates player involvement. If we have capturable planets that led to control of a system and opened up bonuses, more people would do it.

It is true that each video game has a life cycle. Good MMO's tend to last longer than most non-MMO's. The problem is the amount of content gamers can devour is insane.

Developers need to make 'Random Dungeon Generators' with 'Random Object Generators' if they want people to be sated on filler content while they develop more storyline stuff. Dailies are so overused and burnt out now.

In fact there has to be a way to make 'dailies' feel more dynamic by some type of randomish daily "hey thanks for saving my collectors yesterday but now there is an infestation in a nearby cave!" IDK something a little more replayable then the brainless same few quests.
This isn't the signature you are looking for.

Rubbish is relative. It's better than SWTOR's pvp IMO and it's still in beta.

No to random dungeons. What you are asking for a is 'sandbox' game with a random loot generator. We had one, it was called SWG and apparently SWG sandbox games are not bringing in the loot for developers hence the reason they aren't being made.

But I think its more about game mechanics than a sandbox system per se. I think if we had SWG with SWTOR graphics and combat engine, it would be bigger than the second coming of Christ.

Just a hunch.
