He's saying that if all of your groups are bad the way that some are claiming, then there's a common thread that might explain why that's the case (ie, you are the cause of the bad groups).

Note: I think this is an oversimplification, but I don't have any real arguments against it so I'll defer to someone else who actually has the "everything is bad groups in lfd" syndrome.

I am willing to take the good with the bad to be able to play on my own schedule.

No, you used a bad analogy; he called it out as a bad analogy. There's nothing in the post that he quoted that went over his head. Nor is there anything in that post that he's being willfully ignorant of.

so basically you were throwing around a bunch of words, but not actually saying anything.

The reality is that he called you out for a bad analogy and for not actually adding anything meaningful to the discussion, and you were looking for something to distract people from the fact that you couldn't offer a valid response.

But then Blizz added thier LFG tool..which I started to use with friends and by myself to great success. When they added thier Looking for Raid feature, I was so happy to be able to raid when I want to, without mods and addons, listenting to bad mouth talk in vent, etc. I am the guild leader of a guild in WoW and the LFG tool has had no negative impact on us at all. In fact, we have grown in numbers sence it was added. We often do raids together using the new Looking for Raid feature.

So donot assume too much. What you feel and have experenced is not a rule for all. If you donot want to use a LFG tool, noone says you have to. The hard core raiding guilds in WoW still do thier own thing as before the Looking for Raid was added.
Actually for me it was quite the opposite personally for me regarding X-server LFG and LFR is that they have implemented those but at the cost of the actual gameplay .

Just take vanilla strat or Scholo even after the two first real big nerfs (When they removed the raid ability and then as a side thing when they reduced the number of enemies )
People did fail but they did become better from it, but now instead it is the dungeons /raids that gets tuned down instead.

the best example i can take what happens when people arent getting challenged are when Blizz rerelased Onyxia to celebrate an anniversary and thought it was meant to be a loot pinata but the problem was that the boss quickly became pugs worst nightmare thanks to people stopped paying attention and forgot how to move.

One thing that also prove this is when you get a group and you notice that you are just flying trough the instance without having any problem that isnt because you and youre group is abnormously gifted playing the game ......
It is because you have a group that pays abit attention while playing mediocre

Convinience is yes good at the start but sadly enough the easier things are the more lazy do people become.

I would advocate the middle road but sadly people are thinking wow as the foundation and the must regarding convinience these days many of us just dont agree with that one and it is a big reason why it lost alot of subs aswell

Thanks guys. Good examples. Then we who know the LFG tool is not a all bad feature, need to make sure we post the positive examples of why it is good. Any good judge will weigh the facts from both sides of a argument and then decide what needs to be done. I have confidence BioWare will do this. I think at this time, thier main holdup is it will take time to implement a cross server LFG tool. From a techincal point of view I mean. But eventually....to stay competitive..I think they will need to add one.

actually you'll find the biggest complaint and reason for loss of subs, according to various polls and forums, was due to boredom of the content. People were tired of the same style of game mechanics and wanted something fresh.

WoW lost a lot of subs for many reasons , but the LFG feature was not one of them for most. If it was, why would they be expanding on it with the new expansion? Thier data shows them it is a positive feature. There are still many ways a player who wishes to do so, can make any content more challenging. How many guilds can do Heroic Deathwing achievement? The option is there. What the LFR tool did do is make the end game content a lot more accessable to a larger player base. If you think it is easy mode raiding...nothing says you have to use it.

Many people are adamant that this game is in dire need of cross server LFD tool or server merges because it's apparently "dieing" or "bleeding subcribers". I have no idea which planet they are living on but it clearly isn't earth:

http://www.destructoid.com/star-wars...s-220955.phtml

http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2011...n_1171028.html

1 million subscribers in the first 3 days and another 700,000 gained over January.

I have already given my thoughts on the LFD tool and one of the main posters in support , ferroz, has ignored the clear examples I have given of how it has led to detriment of the WoW community.
