So many of you are crying nerf about classes you may not know. You die to a certain class and believe that class is somehow op. However, it may be a class you have little experience with, so why should anyone listen?

Instead, why don't you look at your primary class and make suggestions about how that class can be improved. More armor or mitigation in pvp or a slow or gap closer. Maybe even tweak the damage in some trees.

The only time a class should be nerfed is when all other classes and players are suffering the same fate to all players of one class. That is how rare real nerds should be.

Nerfs hurt and are no fun. Buffs make you look forward to playing after the new patch comes out. Let's get on with the buffs and stop asking for a ton of nerds. After all, if it's just your class that is having issues that should be the fix.

The problem with the 'buff everyone' concept is it escalates so much that PVE starts to have to be retooled along with PVP. Nerfing, while unpleasant, is a much simpler fix to an outstanding problem. There are at least two classes in the game currently that are capable of taking down everyone else (with something of a 50/50 on eachother) with ease, and those are typically the ones you hear 'nerf' about the most (assassin, marauder and their mirrors).

Ironically, they're the ones not receiving much in the way of a nerf (and actually a couple buffs) in 1.2.

Basically if a class is good at 1v1't they need to be nerfed apparently...everyone calls for Shadow/Assassin nerfs when other classes can do more damage and other classes can tank better.

Some people need to realize that some classes are going to be a lot more viable in duels, and that's just how it is. It isn't the OP of the class, it is the mechanic that is in how the class functions and fights. That is why Shadows/Sentinels are good at 1v1's, they have every necessary tool to be able to win.

There haven't really been any major changes to any classes with maybe the exception of Scoundrel/Op. Yet, I remember in the beginning people cried because Shadow/Marauder sucked (some even argued Shadow was the most balanced class), yet now that people have figured out how to play them they are OP with no changes to either class (yet).
No disintegrations!
As you wish...

Why would anyone duel a tank or healer? Tanks are designed to mitigate incoming damage while putting out enough pain to hold aggro. Healers are designed to be able to keep tanks up against NM mode bosses, which hit quite a bit harder than any player. 1 v 1 these classes should win almost every time.

DPS classes are designed to work within a group context and focus fire. When 2 dpsers focus a tank or healer, the dpsers win. When they try to go it alone, against a tank or healer, they usually lose, all other things being equal. That's working as intended and why no game balances pvp around 1v1.

If you want 1v1 balance, play Mortal Combat.

What's ironic here is that's NOT how it works in this game. Marauders destroy tanks and healers with ease.

Maybe you can start to see why people are claiming nerfs, if they share your viewpoint on how things 'should' work.

Nerfs aren't a problem. Un-skilled players that can't look at their class objectively and realize they need a nerf are the problem.

I <3 nerfs, otherwise everything would get buffed all the time, making all content too easy (which is already is pretty much).
