EA just threw a road block to doing anything with legacy for me, abit an entirely reasonable one.
Most of them are constructive. You just do not agree with it and want people to wallow in sorrow and grief with you.

It is good they limit the char limit to 50. You should have not made 130+ characters. Karma sucks for you.

People are complaining because they abuse the system by reserving names across ALL realms, and now can't make more characters?

I would say some people need to go back to school, but that would assume they have been there to begin with.

Honestly, I didn't think I would ever be surprised by how dumb a troll can get, but my word, this is just... my word....

I'm sure you are one of only a few that went to the lengths of reserving a name(s) on every single server. However legacy won't really affect this at all since legacy is all chars across a single server. Your 50 on server A has nothing to do with your toons on server B. Also I am going to assume that the majority of those characters haven't been leveled (considering the sheer amount of them) so how is having to reroll one a problem?

Wait, why am I using common sense to talk you out of this? Never mind. Go ahead and cancel your sub.
Quitting the game? (or anything for that matter) Check this link before making a post about it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VuGiK-X9-0A

OMG o_O

Simply amazing.

People thought i was going overboard, when in wow when I left my original server, I created a char to hold the name on that realm in case i ever decided to come back to it.

Eventually though, I realized that reserving a name on a realm you have no intention on playing is just about as useful as wearing sunglasses at night.

I too find this change extremely annoying. I am another one of those that saved his favorite name on every server and have 3 servers at the 8 character limit. This weekend I went to make another alt on a newer server (for me) and guess what. I have to delete 96 characters in order to create a new character. What? Why was this limit added? What makes this necessary? No other MMO I have ever played ever had such a limit. WoW has no such limit. LotRO has no such limit. DDO, EQ, AO, CoH, CO, STO, Aion, none of them have such a limit. Why here? Why do the devs make a game that encourages altaholism and then restrict the altiholics their ability to create alts? Are they freaking stupid?

This makes the Legacy System's species unlock useless, not just for single character players but for the altaholics for which it was designed. Hello?! Duh!

wow has a 50 character limit.
Aion had a 8 char limit it seems (http://www.aionsource.com/topic/6520...imit-going-up/)
CoH had a 36 character limit (see thread above)
EQ has a limit of 10 (only 8 are displayed) characters, http://forums.station.sony.com/eq/po...opic_id=164175
DDO is 10 for the premium VIP, http://www.ddo.com/vip but you can buy more.
STO is 3, need to buy lifetime sub for this though.
AO is 5 per account, this poor guy says he has 30 accounts for his characters.

For WoW, Aion, EQ, DDO and AO I cannot attest to any changes they have made since I played last (it's been over a year for the most recent and as many as 6 years for some), but there were no such limits when I played. I know because I saved my primary name on all of their servers too and it did not stop me from creating characters on the servers until all slots were filled.

For CoH I have 187 characters across all of their servers and I still have the ability to purchase even more character slots if I want to create even more. I still play CoH from time to time so I know this has not changed unless it was very recently.

For STO I have 36 characters and the ability to purchase as many more character slots as I want. Everyone can do this. There is no limit except what you can afford to pay for. Same goes for CO where I have 42 characters and 2 empty slots ready to fill.

And again I ask, Why create a game with a tool that encourages altaholism and then limit the altaholic's ability to create freaking alts? Answer that!
