I'd play through the single-player content and quit. Provided I'd get to do that in peace and not have to fight for every kill with ten other players or suffer character names like Xxbatmanxx. The pay-to-win model destroys any sense of achievement in gear progression, so there'd be very little to keep me playing after experiencing all the storylines.

F2P has proven itself as a viable means of keeping a game on either life support or a valuable cash cow. Unfortunately, these types of games are usually supported by a skeleton development team with frustrating restrictions, tedious grinds ( unless you pay) and obnoxious advertisements stuffed down your throat. They usually feel like glorified FPS servers to me. Besides, without the subscription each month -- think of how much worse this community could becumz u no d00d?

Anyway, if this game went F2P -- it would be a huge incentive to move on and find something else. Steam generally keeps me satisfied until something like Swtor crops up.

the only way it would be worth going f2p is if they made restriction's on the f2p players, like making them unable to do certain content like the flashpoint's on fleet , lvl capping them at 49 and also making forum only for p2p. and let all p2p players enjoy all content and lvl50 goodies. i believe doing it this way would encourage ppl to become a suby to the game, and before you say " hey they can subscribe get to lvl 50 then unsub" NO that would make there lvl 50 toon unplayable.

No, I wouldn't, I would leave immediately. F2P is ruining games and especially the social experience. Unless it really is 100% free, that's a little different story.

This. The game is rapidly moving towards not being worth the monthly fee. Make it even more expensive and there's no way I'd stick around. As it is I'm killing time until a) my 6 month sub runs out or b) GW2 comes out; whichever happens first.
Edited because the devs appear to have fixed at least 80% of the crap that was pissing me off.

my experiences with free to play games would put me in the bracket of /uninstall game. I may decide to hang about if the shop were dealing purely with cosmetic items and not pay 2 win items.

Odd how we differ
I have returned to more immediate combat of DDO, a lot more fun that SWTOR at the moment.

Beside what has already been mentioned in this topic, another bad aspect of F2P MMO, is that as soon as one person is banned, he just create a new account and come back annoying peoples again.

P2P MMO at least can kick most of them out definitively because of the cost involved.

F2p games are for kids that dont wanna pay for anything.

P2P always ends up in better games due to the constant paying customers. that gives the developers money to keep building bigger addons for "free" look at guildwars 1.. f2p right but you had to buy what? 4-5 boxes of content...

in a p2p game you might buy an expansion once in a while but you get alot for free and i whant to think they have a safer and better enviroment.

i will never play an f2p game again... if a game turns f2p i stop playing right away...
