I have already achieved a high Legacy level, and invested a lot into several character, some of which are 50.

It would fundamentally be a downfall if they forced this on everyone. It must remain optional, even for PvP servers. I am not willing to move to another server and redo everything, nor do I want to leave my guild, or have my guild broken up because not everyone will like this new thing forced on them.
Im sure most people on a PvP server would welcome the idea. Why you rolled on a PvP server and don't want something that is so deeply ground into Star Wars lore is beyond me.

As you may have seen, yes I have posted some in regards to the Bounty Board trying to help the idea/s in what may/may not work, I forgot 1 imprtant thing.

This is the 1 most important thing I can think of with concern to SWTOR and the Bounty Board, You can not Force Someone to be a part of it, unless BE steps in and makes the rules and all that.

If you force it on someone who is set against it, well, you may lose subs to a forced PvP that is not a part of their game play style.

Curious, it was forced in SWG was it not?
I'm not trying to compare the games, just curious.

I didn't play SWG, but if it was forced in SWG, was it known that it was a feature of a PvP server? Was it known that the class had the ability to accept bounties on other players?

And who was allowed to set the Bounties?

What were the reasons given for setting these Bounties?

What were the repercussions of being hunted/failing in the hunt?

These are all important to understand where this is coming from by the SWG part.

If it was by people, setting the Bounties, and there were high damages incurred as suggested, this is griefing, especially if it is repeated over, and over, as you could totally destroy peoples levels and experience, and then how would you regain levels once the quests are done, besides repeatable Heroics?

This may leave them with options of forcing them to a part of the game they do not want to play, as well as just quitting from , perhaps unwarranted, Bullying.

Just curious in many ways. I do have 2 BHs and it all sounds interesting, because live people tend to fight better and more wisely than AI, but that is also what they have devised with the PvP.

Bounty Hunter boards in SWG was meant to hunt Jedi's and those becoming such if I remember it correctly. Those becoming a Jedi knew full well they would be hunted by Bounty Hunters. As for having it in SWTOR, could probably hunt both Jedi Warriors and Sith Knights, on PVP servers without question.

PVE & PVP were merged into every server, unlike here.

On PVE (Here)? Would have to mark yourself for a hit and get bounty hunters to chase you I guess. Maybe some Champion NPC to replace players on PVE? You could stay flagged until that player killed you, or some other bounty that stole that person's bounty? *Shrugs*

So does that open up Hunting Season on all Bounty Hunters by the Jedi and the Sith in return? would open up same faction PvP.

I can see the appeal of a Bounty Board but have my own input on it that goes against some of what you put.

1) Board is open to everyone (a scoundrel can make creds just as a BH and Sith/Jedi have their own reasons for bringing in "Scum")

2) Keep the boards localized to planets that have access to the other faction, so if they leave planet side the bounty goes into remission or cancels after a period of time (30 min to a hr).

3) No harm comes to the player that is the bounty (that's just plain rude to do since some of these guys may have done nothing other then gotten a chest that was out in the open and someone has tons of credits to blow on this guy...or maybe they just don't like his name/face). Dying is or at least can be a pain enough as it is.

4) Have it as a optional pop-up on screen so that it can be tracked (i.e. Wanted: Han Solo). Also make it where there is a terminal to go to to update your bounty tracker. But only give the bounty to the first person to actually kill him. I see this as adding to the competitiveness of being a BH while also allowing the hunted player time to be shot a few times for free.

5) Make bounties time dependent. Nothing lasts forever, so as long as you have the creds to keep the picture on the wall maybe he'll be hunted, otherwise his picture comes down so other's can go up.

6) For RP purposes (even though I am sure this could get abused) allow the wanted description to be written in by the poster (also allows more "honorable" bounty hunters to be selective in their targets and opens up a world of RP fun).

I suppose that works for the moment.

I love the idea . If your a carebear your probably not gonna be pissing people off and have a bounty on you anyway. So why would you care?
