EVE also has it. It makes life interesting, to say the least. lol

Also, my old guild on Rallos Zek back in the day had something similar on our webpage. We took contracts on (mostly) paladins who liked to hang out right outside Neriak and slaughter newbies. But no bounty was too big, and no prey was too dangerous.

But for it to work right, it would have to be implemented on PvP servers ONLY. PvE servers make it so you don't have to engage in PvP if you don't want to.

It would truly work on either pve or pvp servers if the only to place a bounty on a said person is if you were killed by that said person outside of a wz

The way I think it would work: 10-20 bracket Bounties.
21-30 bracket bounties.
31-40 bracket bounties.
41-50 bracket bounties.

Yes, Im seeing the biggest problem is most people don't want to even be invloved on a PvE server. And an opt in opt out system would never work. Too many people would only opt in when they found a bounty thus no one would be opted in to be bountied.

That is going to be the problem with your idea.

Most, not all, of the people on a PvE server want nothing to do with PvP except when they can control when it happens, like manually flaging themselves or doing wzs.

So on a PvE server you would have to have it set to start where no one can have a bounty placed on themselves unless they actually toggle themselves as being available. so it is quite possible that you could have 500 people on a server with only 5-10 who toggle themselves.

Mhmm, that's what I've been thinking.

At first I was against your idea, but the more I am thinking about it it has merit.

The main problem to solve is how to get PvE servers involved without people feeling they are being forced into PvP.

There is one problem about forcing this. When I started this game, I chose a PvP server, because of the description. Now you are proposing a change to the description. I would have not chosen a PvP server if I knew I could be tracked for any reason, in any manner. I have already achieved a high Legacy level, and invested a lot into several character, some of which are 50.

It would fundamentally be a downfall if they forced this on everyone. It must remain optional, even for PvP servers. I am not willing to move to another server and redo everything, nor do I want to leave my guild, or have my guild broken up because not everyone will like this new thing forced on them.

Wait until they log back in. If they choose to log in for short bursts in fear of being killed; the player who placed the bounty has won. You could always go and hunt another bounty.
