Also you say harder to do and I'm going to call BS. I kill just as many people on my Jedi guardian (tank spec'd hybrid) with the leap+stasis as I do with grapple on my VG (also tank spec'd). Not only that but I also force push people into fires incredibly often as well, which grapplers cannot do as the only thing they have is grapple.

Yeah, people probably get annoyed by it. I can believe it. You know what else is annoying?

Lightning spammed with a snare attached to it from 30m away, followed by an aoe knockback that immobilizes, followed by a "blind" stun.

Getting knocked down from a stealth attack, followed by another stun, followed by a blind immobilize, followed by a spammable snare.

Getting immobilized from a leap, held in the air immobilized and then pushed off of something.

Etc etc.

Everyone has something that's pretty "cheap/lame" and is fairly annoying. Oddly enough this adds up to a wacky form of balance.

(except healer Op's who are still pretty ****ed overall)
i'll agree with you for the most part but common tactical observation says i'm right about leap stun stasis being harder to pull off...it requires decent timing and LoS setup compared to the Grapples simple LoS requirement...* yes I know how annoying LoS can be..i've been there myself*

but the ability to simply PULL something to you and freeze far outdoes the ability to jump to them and freeze them in almost all cases seen in this game.

And I seriously dont get why people are yelling about Opr/Scoun heals...some of the best healers i've seen where Opr/Scouns and they did AMAZING jobs.
Terentateks? Joe Orno soloed eighteen Terentateks with one hand tied behind his back...And he said " Ooorah!" each time one hit the dust!

I was crossing the bridges in VoidStar with some others when an enemy ran up and tried to push us off to our deaths. I was blown back a bit but stayed on the walkway, but the guy next to me went over the side. I was just about to hit the key for an attack on this guy when up from below came the grapple from my falling team mate and it dragged the enemy over to his death also. In this case, revenge was served hot and immediately, like within a half-second.

Took me about 15 seconds to stop laughing in amazement that such a thing could happen in a video game, and that a player in such a situation would have the presence of mind and reflexes to pull it off.
This alone is reason enough to keep it in the game.

I do that quite a lot.. There is a delay between the los-check when you grapple and the actual pull - so if you're on the walkways in huttball, you can grapple while you have los and at the same time jump into space. by the time the pull happens, it pulls the target to your new location (over mid-air in the pit), dumping you both in the pit.

Pulling into fire tho - pretty lame and something I won't do.

The grapple range is certainly overgenerous.

I can understand the need for such an ability, but the fact that you can pull an enemy ball carrier from the line back into the first fire-pit is stupid, especially because it's basically an instant kill.

Reduce the range to 20m and I'd be o.k. with it.

Lol /win.

And on the subject. i play a powertech, and grapple. while people who arent PT QQ about it, it is invaluable, it is pretty much like force leap, force pullet etc, if you want it removed, remove all the other skills that do the same sort of thing, stop QQ and learn to adapt

Dear god do I hate grapple. **** makes me rage when I have the ball, leap to goal get grappled and die in fire. But I understand it's supposed to counter leaps, and don't want it nerfed or anything. It all evens out.

I do.

And I still believe it is fundamentally flawed to design a Warzone that is predicated on obstacles and hazards, and then give just one (1) class to ability to circumvent them completely. Leap does that.

And anyone who would argue that the ability to stand at the edge of a fire pit and pull someone into it and then stun them, is not an I WIN button (combo) is just not being honest with themselves, or to the discussion.
What do you mean 'one class'. Juggernauts get force leap and can spec for interception (jump to a friendly character). Powertechs can spec for a leap. Marauders automatically have a leap. That's three classes right there. And as to pulls: sorcerors have a friendly pull, assassins and powertechs get an enemy pull.

As to grapple/force pull being OP... like I have tried to explain to you before, it is not exactly hard to prevent a grappler/puller wannabe from getting the move off, heck, they do it to me ALL THE TIME. And often the pugs on your own team will make it impossible by whitebarring people. And contrary to what people here are claiming, I have NEVER been able to pull a whitebarred player. Animation goes off, player just keeps standing right where they are and waves....

It would appear from your statements (only one class with leap... just lol) that you simply have no clue about what class can do what. Which would explain why you have such a simplistic idea about what is and what isn't OP.

Well try and stop a someone who has those abilities as a class that needs to be stationary in order to do almost as much dps as classes that can more dps while moving and have special moe abilities.
