I seen smart players avoid being knock off the upper levels in huttball or being knock down to the second level. However, grapple allows you to pull said person exactly where your standing and the person grappled can't do any thing about it.
Wrong. Moving behind a solid object will nullify the grapple. This is easily reproduced on the voidstar doors by running in and then BEHIND the doorway while someone tries to grapple you. The animation will play, you will move into the wall and then stop, and the PT/Trooper's grapple is on cooldown without having done a dame thing other than adding to your resolve bar.

This works with pillars, boxes, etc etc.

There are ways to counter grapple just like the rest of the movement altering abilities if you look for them.

I'm also 100% serious about what I wrote about how EASY it is to just remove the grappler from the equasion. You might call me an experience expert. People KNOW what I can and will do to them if they let me, so they simply don't let me most of the time. The only times I get away with it, is with inexperienced players.

So er, yeah, how about people just learn to counter grapplers and force pullers in stead of whining that the ability is OP? Seriously, are you going to be complaining about the force pushes next? They pushed 4 people off the ramps, nerf them! Or how about those stealthers getting into position for a pass while you don't notice them? I've already seen the complaints about leapers and friendly pulls... do you want to remove any and all tactical play from Huttball, turn it into yet another DPS fest?
Ok, first of all, you make a number of assumptions ... but we'll stick with the one that is relevant to this discussion .... and that is, that I don't play a Juggernaught.

I do.

And I still believe it is fundamentally flawed to design a Warzone that is predicated on obstacles and hazards, and then give just one (1) class to ability to circumvent them completely. Leap does that.

And anyone who would argue that the ability to stand at the edge of a fire pit and pull someone into it and then stun them, is not an I WIN button (combo) is just not being honest with themselves, or to the discussion.
Time you spend judging others should be spent on introspection as to why you feel its your place to judge. Unless you're paying for the product and the vendor is not delivering!!!!!

What about the knockback into the fire with attached root effect?
Or the leap immobilize + unchanneled choke combo?

it's just plain amazing. Pulling people in the fire / acid pit is just the best about this class...

because if that marauder really does want to get out of this allive he has to blow SOME if not all his cooldowns ...

theheheheheh

JUST lovely

I love Huttball for This reason no I do t play said classes with grapple
But I like the mechanics in pvp the pulls pushes chokes knock backs all this fun stuff will get nerfed to uselessness over time eventually
So enjoy it now
also this reminds me of that saying thrown around in wow "this is why we can have nice things"

Alot harder to do than grapple...but effective if their stun bust is on CD.

Also....tends to ENSURE you take damage with your target over fire vents.

if you just hop off then a fast player has possibly moved right along with you....believe me i've seen it done.

The guy grappling you takes damage for setting it up as well (if it's the acid pit. Sometimes with the fire too depending on the timing and LoS issues)

Also you say harder to do and I'm going to call BS. I kill just as many people on my Jedi guardian (tank spec'd hybrid) with the leap+stasis as I do with grapple on my VG (also tank spec'd). Not only that but I also force push people into fires incredibly often as well, which grapplers cannot do as the only thing they have is grapple.

Yeah, people probably get annoyed by it. I can believe it. You know what else is annoying?

Lightning spammed with a snare attached to it from 30m away, followed by an aoe knockback that immobilizes, followed by a "blind" stun.

Getting knocked down from a stealth attack, followed by another stun, followed by a blind immobilize, followed by a spammable snare.

Getting immobilized from a leap, held in the air immobilized and then pushed off of something.

Etc etc.

Everyone has something that's pretty "cheap/lame" and is fairly annoying. Oddly enough this adds up to a wacky form of balance.

(except healer Op's who are still pretty ****ed overall)

Peronally I think special moves like sprint leap etc should not be possible when you carry the ball. Same goes for grapple.
