Signed for this. And my main pvp toon is a healer.
Dear BW,
Please nerf paper and buff rock. Scissors is fine as is.
Signed, Rock.

I still feel fire pits and acid pits should randomly grapple people themselves.

As aggravating as grapple can be, it provided me with the probably the most amazing thing I've seen in years and years of gaming.

I was crossing the bridges in VoidStar with some others when an enemy ran up and tried to push us off to our deaths. I was blown back a bit but stayed on the walkway, but the guy next to me went over the side. I was just about to hit the key for an attack on this guy when up from below came the grapple from my falling team mate and it dragged the enemy over to his death also. In this case, revenge was served hot and immediately, like within a half-second.

Took me about 15 seconds to stop laughing in amazement that such a thing could happen in a video game, and that a player in such a situation would have the presence of mind and reflexes to pull it off.

This is also an excellent strat for killing certain bosses.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It's the stupid ones that need the advice.

Hard work often pays off over time, but laziness always pays off immediately.

i can only speak for pts grapple, but it is completely unreliable when the Z-axis is involved.

ive had numerous grapples where ive tried to grapple a healer/BC into the firepit, and he lands 5-10 meter behind me. ive had grapples that moved a person precisely 1 meter because his feet dragged against the ground and caught him. and no, there were no anti-knockback abilities or full resolve involved (they wouldnt move at all if that was the case).

it is massively easier to ROOT a ballcarrier in the firepit, because 9 times out of 10 the ballcarrier will wonder why his movement stopped when he has full resolve.

on the same z-axis though it rarely fails.

grapples, leaps, offensive/defensive pulls, pushes, speed buffs, stuns, CC, etc... it all evens out.

And the reality is I dont see people dying in the fire often. Just dont go near a fire pit unless your CC breaker is off CD.

imo leaping is too overpowered for the warzone.
How can leap be over powered but not grapple? To me, any form of ball movement outside of passing/running needs to be nerfed. IE If you grapple a ball carrier, they drop the ball and it's reset. Same goes with leaping with the ball, you drop it and it gets reset. It's not right when a group of sorces or Juggs can score within 10 seconds of grabbing the ball out of the middle. Leap grapple, jump down, grapple passed fire and sprint. Done.

Not everyone has a grip of stuns, knockbacks, slows, roots etc etc. Not to mention the fact that stuns are often ignored and furthermore so are knockbacks.

Just throwing that out there before someone thinks it's mearly a L2P issue. Oh and I wish they would fix knockback in the endzone. Ya getting sick of being in front of someone while they are stunned (resolve bar not full yet) and hitting knockback only to have them go forward into the goal line. Um, ya....

i didn't mean to say grapple wasn't also overpowered i just said that it didn't bother me as much as leap does, in my experiences leaps have had more changing power in the games than grapple.

but i agree that it is also too powerful for the warzone, i've just been lucky enough as to where it hasn't been a major problem for me as of yet.

Or... you could just start running with a team that knows what they're doing. Frankly, I don't see the problem. COMPETENT players will simply remove the grappler from the equasion, by pushing or pulling them out of position, stunning/forcechoking/whirlwinding them, or flat out killing them.

And grapple doesn't even WORK a lot of the time. That thing called resolve bar that people always claim is broken? Well, a white bar makes you 100% grapple proof. And there's virtually always someone who just HAS to use their stun, making the ball carrier untouchable.

You can't can't just fight anymore in MMOs ... its all about who has the most CC and anti-CC.

You have to go to stand alone games with online PvP to get decent PvP anymore.
Time you spend judging others should be spent on introspection as to why you feel its your place to judge. Unless you're paying for the product and the vendor is not delivering!!!!!
