I do R or L.
Caeliux/Xuileak = Kinetic/Seer/Defense/Combat/Medic/Shield Specialist/Sawbones/Saboteur
Kaeliux/Xuileac = Bodyguard/Shield Tech/Medicine/Engineer/Darkness/Corruption/Immortal/Carnage

technically the map doesn't have a compass rose on it, left on the map could be north

It also if facing your ship be right, or facing the enemy ship left.

But if you are on the ground it could be forward, or if you are force pulled up it could be south or down.

Take as an example Strand of the Ancients since the idea for Voidstar is derived from that.
Each and every gate HAS a different coloured crest on it and thats how people differentiate them when someone yells tanks at green people rush to assist green yada yada yada.
With that said it would be a lot easier if Void doors were to be painted different colours or something like that.
+1 i have been suggesting this forever.

no

you tell them to turn left of right.
East / west is a much better form of giving directions

I would tend to agree that East and West are the proper distinctions, but I am more concerned with winning than being a huge nerd that corrects everyone's terminology, and thus instead choose to use "snow/grass" as it's easier for everyone to understand (and if you have a hard time remembering which side has more snow, then you've got other issues).

Since there is no "N" indicator on the compass, I cannot be sure which way is North, vs. up

Further, there is no way to even be sure if the planet has only 2 magnetic poles....you are thinking "earth centric"

Left and right is simply based on one's view of the scene......if you can't figure out your directions....or if you're republic or imp....sounds like a personal problem....

SW:G : Oteefo / Axox / Voosrik / Oov Irfiis (Tempest - Valcyn - Radiant - Flurry)
Xbox: Paddayappa

Didn't read the whole thread, but I like it when people refer to it as Strong side (L) and Weak side (R). Strong side is such because you can run to it faster from the main landing point.

Weak side is harder to take initially and keep because the enemy can run to it quickly and mainly unaccosted.

Strong side, weak side terminology encourages people to think and have a level of awareness when playing.

This isn't hard people. You're intentionally making it difficult rather than just following directions in the game.
No, you're intentionally making it difficult because you don't want to admit you're wrong. When you're at the center turret in Alderaan, it's impossible to figure out just by looking at the screen whether east is left or right if there are no team members coming out of the spawn point. Both sides look exactly the same. The only way to tell is if you look at the minimap, spin your character to point east, and then run that direction.

The fact that you can't figure out is just evidence that you're trolling this thread.
I'm not arrogant. I'm just aware of my greatness.
