1.2 Hard Mode loot. Why raid when you can just run dailies?

Alright I honestly like this ALOT. I'm currently deployed to Afghanistan and Im only able to raid because a group of our raiders does OPs at Midnight EST. This equates to 730am my time. If it wasn't for them I can't even SEE the content. This alternate allows me to get gear through dailies (which are yet to be determined as difficult or not) and fill in pieces I normally wouldn't be able to get.

Flexibility is the real WIN here. Denying that is just being selfish.

I've had a similar discussion in a different thread about "whats the point?"

If the only reason you play swtor is to earn virtual rewards in the form of gear than i am sorry for you.

I like raiding with my friends, the gear makes that possible so i want the gear, but more than that i want to raid and see the content with my friends and play the game.

If the only reason you play is to chase the virtual stuffed rabbit across the greyhound track then your running in circles for no reason.

Whats the point of raiding in SWTOR when I can just run some faceroll dailies and get "hard mode" raid gear.

Raiding in this game keeps getting worse not better. GW2 out yet?
This is a good thing imo because it caters towards the casual players. You can't assume that everyone is in an active guild, you can't assume that someone else has the same amount of time you do to play the game. In order for BW to enable casual players to keep subbing to the game they must give them intensives and this is a very good one. Don't forget grinding dailies for this gear is likely to take far longer than those raiding, so that is the incentive to raid rather than grind dailies. But you can't ignore your casual player-base, that is very unfair so I'm glad BW is addressing this issue.

So you would penalise casual players because they don't have the same lifestyle as you do?... that's called being elitist. Fact is BW can't ignore their casual player-base, they are not getting epics for nothing they still have to put the grind work in day in, day out. And if by your own admission any idiot can do it then why don't you?, oh I know why it's because raiding gets you gear quicker anyway, you have that luxury many do not. Giving the option I'm sure many would rather raid than the endless grind of dailies, but to deny them a chance of getting better gear I think is wrong.

Man what a BS system! So you mean to tell me the people that have jobs, families, other interests and who can't play 10 hours a day like I do will be able to get the same gear I do?

*** is that? Why am I sitting at home not working then? They already have money, cool stuff and all that IRL. Now you want to let them get the best gear to???? So unfair.

you're right. They can't. They did it perfect with the 1.0 stuff. Dailies gave (51) mods. Those were plenty to be able to casually run HM FP's to get Tionese (126) and Columi (136). The more hardcore players ran Op's for Rakata (140) Thus catering to all sides of the community.

Doing dailies takes you longer than a raid so if time invested = reward gained then dailies would win. You'll gear up much quicker if you're raiding regularly than by doing dailies. And nobody is giving you anything you still have to work for it and put the time in. BW can't ignore it's casual player-base, it's bad for business, and thankfully they have realised this and done something about it. But thanks for telling me to go jump off a bridge, it made me chuckle.

just let the dailie one with blue color and same stats and then the crying shall stop.

When an armor is released in this WOWish type of MMO's theres always a midterm betwen the old Tier and the new Tier.

It's obvious that one will be better than the other, people don't even have the stats on the test server, i don't even bother to understand why are people especulating this sort of information if there's NOTHING besides a names and a commendation cost to begin with.

What we know...

Campaign set - Comes by raiding
Black Hole set - Come by dailies

What ELSE do we know...

Four difficulty modes are currently available for this Operation:
8-player Story Mode,
8-player Hard Mode,
16-player Story Mode,
and 16-player Hard Mode.

In Nightmare Mode, defeating each boss now yields a chest that contains Black Hole Commendations. --> IMPORTANT

New Campaign vendors can be found on the Fleets. They sell Campaign gear for commendations earned in the new Operation: Explosive Conflict.

Stop crying, most likely the Black Hole set will be inferior by far against the Campaign Set, and even so, RAIDING will still be the better way to get the Black Hole Set... It's just a midset.

The game already did that on Flashpoints with Columi that were drops from NORMAL OPERATION RAID.

People just like to complaint, take you epeen and....
