Apparently its all about equality in PvP its all free anyone can wear it but they making some orange modable so Pver's are more equal in Pvp cause yu never know they might stilkl get owned even if they get PVP gear..
we wouldnt like them to get owned at equal gear would be so unfair.

In 11 pages I dearly hope that people realized currently on the PTS, all the war hero gear costs "Ranked Warzone Commendation." The Rated gear costs the ranked warzone commendation, plus an unassembled item piece, plus a pvp rating ranging from 1200 for some items, to 2400 for the chest.

So if you want war hero, you need to play ranked warzone. If you want the rated war hero, you need to be good at it and put time into it.

You can just get to level 50 and join some ranked warzone solo games, lose like 80% of the games and you will still get your ranked warzone commendations, same as you get warzone commendations now, the difference between losing and winning is so minimal that it practically doesnt matter, there are dozens more medals to get and the cap is only 8! so everyone who gets 8 medals a match which is so friggin easy in 1.2 (catch a hutball, throw a hutball, score a goal, kill a hutball carrier etc.) will get like 90% of the commendations the winning team gets.

A couple weeks later everyone who puts in some time will have their warzone gear, will then remove the mods and put them into augmented orange gear and will have the best gear possible, better than the ranked warzone players who need 2400+ rating for some of their stuff which has no augment slots.

So I fail to see the problem. Why wouldn't you want a warzone where everyone is in the same level of gear? then you can truly determine who has the best skill.

I am about to get full BM in 1.2 I am ranked 50 I have already saved 30 WZ comms last week, man I keep buying champion bags with 7 comms it s so hard to get BM. its too much work doing daylies and my RNG is terribad no comms in the dayly I completed last week and maybe I ll have my weekly done bfr 1.2 comes live. I mean poor me I have done like 300 hours loging time since i hit 50 I still dont have champ gear I did like 50 wz in these 300 hours really feels like a grind.
Ths is so good now I just wait 1.2 and buy my full BM with last week comms I have saved. I aint wasting my time pvping till 1.2 comes after I finish this weekly. then I ll be so ready to rock up ranked wz. you know being equal gear with others that have more time to play than me.

I don't have a problem with the Ranked Gear only being differently cosmetically with the same stats compared non-Ranked gear. I have a problem with crafted Orange gear being superior to the Ranked Gear for PvP. If BW intends for Ranked Gear to be a prestige item, how are they going to achieve that when everyone who wants to be competitive just rips out the mods and puts them in Orange gear with augment slots? You're telling me BW went through the trouble of designing a new tier of PvP gear just so it can rot in everyone's bank?

Why dont they just remove all the gear and let everyone play naked? People want to achieve something, people that invest more time want better rewards, thats just human nature. If i do more work than you then i will be able to buy a better car, drive faster etc.

Bioware just hands out the same Ferraris to everyone, be it afking scrubs or hardcore PvPers.

The ranked gear's cosmetic appearence gives true PvPers an edge for one reason.

Just by looking at a player, you will be able to tell if he's wearing "welfare epics" or if he earned his stripes.

As the converse, the cosmetic appearance of ranked gear will give you "freebies" a least a half second more to sh*t yourself knowing whats coming your way before we spike you.

Nobody is going to pay $15 a month to play a huttball if there is no carrot on the end of the stick. Everyone deserves an incentive to play even PvPer's. There are TONS of games that are all "skill" based that don't have gear progression, and they are free.


All the people who are claiming "well TRUE pvpers dont care about gear" are just insane, you know what those people do...they play FPS games for free. People play MMO's over those for one singular reason....gear progression. They want a return on investment of their time AND ability, not just one or the other.

There will be a lot of nay sayers who dont want to believe its true, but it is. Without any actual non-cosmetic reward system, the game will eventually have to go F2P. Which would be to bad, cuz I liked the game.
