opinions on buffs/nerfs for classes that you don't play

since everyone is raging about how their class is, i thought i would add my voice as one of the few that didn't receive a nerfbat to the face, a marauder.

sorc/sages-

healing-overnerfed, probably should have only nerfed the consumption and fixed the surge double tap, not the infusion cast time. that way, they can choose to have high heals and run out of force quickly, or have weaker heals and not run out.

dps- again overdone- my problem with them has never been dmg output, but the fact that they can have 4 stuns/mezzes and force speed while being a dps class. makes them near impossible to kill unless you have full resolve or they are bad/distracted. if they are doing to kill the hybrid, they should at least make lightning not a free kill, which it what i think whenever i see someone casting lightning strike.

merc
dps-werent overpowered to begin with, maybe let them move while using unload to create a more dynamic fight. but tracer was annoying and probably boring. only time they seemed imba is on 16-man raids due to the heatseeker stacking bug giving huge dmg.

healing- a nerf was needed, but a smaller one. shield+redic single target heals+heavy armor gave them near immortality. but it was more a problem of the heals, not the heat cost.

deception assassins need some sort of buff, they are like an inferior version of marauder in most aspects. tank assassins are the only class that seems like it needs a serious nerf.

operative healing- definitely needed the buffs
other classes i have not played or played against much so i dont know how changes will affect them, or whether they are objectively deserved, havent noticed any that are particularly overpowered.
the changes to the DR on expertise may change some of my opinions on healing, but that will be later

I have attempted to be objective and avoid judging my own class, as that seems to be going on everywhere else.

Most of this is quite correct.

I would add that jugg charge should not stun and give resolve.

I played both and I can say a deception assassin has kicked *** with Dark charge up and it will do further. Due to the high DPS output the deception assassin does (and dps sorcerers too) they've a heavy advantge in comparison with darkness assassin (tank). As tank you got 25% more HP, okay. But you do >50% less damage and so you do >50% less heal. The only advantage a tank really has is like 5k HP more, which are 2 hits.

So, if you call for a nerf, you might look at Dark Charge used by DPS classes, but this is being reviewed by BW already.

As a deception assassin I support this and most level headed assassins think the tank spec could use some toning down and we were fully expecting it, but on the flip side we were fully expecting they would make the other 2 trees more viable.

I would be willing to bet the tank assassins will be toned down as soon as they figure out what to do with our other 2 trees. Basically marauders received what deception assassins wanted, more options for pvp.

Could be completely wrong but we literally weren't touched. One of the changes was because its shared with the sorcs (madness tree) and the other ones were lets say bug fixes. It was really shocking to see how little it was compared to the laundry lists for most other classes.

Deception with dark charge is crap since the change to induction.

People aren't QQing about tank geared Darkness Assassins, it's the dps geared ones. Also, deception in no way heals for more than darkness can.
