Last night my guild completed EV, 8 man. It took about 3 hours and was good fun with some awesome content. After EV we cleared Hutt Hospitality, the other operation (raid.) It took less than 30 minutes to organize these and on normal mode they are no more difficult than a hard mode flash point. Overall, a very fun and interesting way to spend 3 hours on a Sunday evening with friends.

So let us be very clear here.

At 50 you can:

1: Run Flash Points.
2: Run Hard Mode Flash Points.
3: Do daily repeatable quests on Illum for gear upgrades or just for credits or just for (gasp) fun.
4: Do repeatable group quests on other planets, some of which have specific goals in mind, for instance, there is a planet where you can do daily group quests that reward orange level gear specifically for your companions.
5: Craft. Believe it or not, some people LOVe doing this and it is actually quite entertaining in this game.
6: PVP. It's pretty good here. Lots of reasons to do this, particularly with the coming ranking system. This will keep some people very busy for days on end.
7: Socialize. Yes, people do still like to just "hang out" and have fun shooting the breeze. Get in there and meet new people you anti-social gits!
8: Space Combat. Many people enjoy this very much.
9: Run normal mode, 8 man operations. Some good story here and very simple to organize and complete.
10: Run hard mode, 8 man operations. Again, easy to organize but a much steeper learning curve with gear rewards that reflect this.
11: Run 16 man normal operations. Harder to organize but much more epic in scale. If you have a big guild or a huge friends list or both, it's well worth the time to organize one of these and get it going.
12: Run 16 man operations on hard mode. Not for the feint of heart but just what the doctor ordered for others.

So there. Took me 5 minutes to think of 12 things you can do at 50. This list encompasses all player types and I dare you to find time to do all of these and still be bored.

I submit that if people are bored at 50, the problem lies in the person themselves and not with the content that has been provided.

It's like my dear old granny used to say. If you're bored, you're boring.
Just like all mmo's on the market there is the basic 5 things you can do, you broke them down to the sub catagory, which is fine, there is just as much to do at end game in TOR as there is any other mmo.

What I would like to see, is more diversity, adding more raids and flash points are good but at the end of the day just more of the same thing, this is where things like pod racing, swoop racing, different elements could come into play, but op I agree with you tons of things to do here, but it seem like allot of people over look it..
Do not dwell in the past, do not not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.

Expectations lead to suffering

It's really not about are there things to do at 50, hell, I could run around in circles on the fleet for that matter. What matters is, are the things to do at 50 any fun.

I agree completely. As a healer I spend quite awhile trying to find folks to do 4 man heroic dailies. I am to the point of giving up because of this. It's not my job to find players for this game so recruit a friend is not an answer. Losing RL friends cause i brang them into a game I am losing faith in might be a poblem in RL duh

There's a lot of complaining, not a lot of suggestions.

What are we? Three month out from release and people are bored? Really?
Eight possible character story lines, sixteen advanced classes.
How many of the "Nothing to do" crowd have bothered leveling their alts?
With a lvl 50 able to farm credits fairly easily, there's no excuse for those alts not to be well geared, either.
Yea, the world quests are always the same, but there's no reason you can't make different choices along the way. Some will have lasting effects, others will just give you an ending you weren't expecting.

I'm not playing a bad MMO (guess what, princess, bad is a subjective word). So what MMO are you playing?

I have 1 thing to say to you...

Come back here with the same post in 8 weeks when you have 3 50's and have done all this over and over...

I cannot stress enough How there is the perfect amount of End Game content......The issue is there is NOTHING to do in-between...

You say craft....Craft what...My companion does it...

You say do space, I do for 30mins then when my daily is done its pointless...

Running Flashpoint and OP over and over again is boring, and there is ABSOLUTELY nothing in this game to fill the gaps, Ive done 3 Flashpoints since 7pm tonight, now i am standing on fleet with nothing to do.....????

I have all the datacrons, I cant be bothered to collect lore, i have 3 alts, 2 at 50 and 1 at 44....

I felt as good about the game as you do when I was where you are. BTW, you will discover that gearing companions for the handfull of dailies you don't even need your companion to do is pointless. I've geared my companions with all the commendations I'll never use.

I'm not going to pick each one of your non points apart rather than maybe try to make you understand the deal. They played it way too safe and shallow in this game and the people who are bored have already beaten the pants off most if not all of "the things to do" that you listed. My house has a den, it has new paint, I could always paint it again for something to do. Now before you say painting your den isn't as fun as playing a video game, you're right. However PROGRESSION is what makes games like these fun for me. Without satisfying character progression, I'm not playing mmos.

I submit that the lack of content depth and character progression makes this game a short ride and it sounds like your dear old granny was easily amused.
