I already have 8 characters, all over level 30.

I have no more room to make new ones, or even imps on this server. 16 sounds great.

Actually you wouldn't. BioWare has stated that you can buy the "perks" with the right Legacy level. So not to alienate those who do not wish to make multiple characters.

Actually no, they have stated you can buy the race unlocks, but not the legacy powers. They clarified that last part in response to a comment on the forums.

Yup
I have made a few to play with my kids that I don't care about, but on the Republic side I have four 30+ toons, and on the Empire side I have 4 close to 20.

I agree that more slots would be a good thing. I have never understood the limit to how many you can have per server anyway, since you can only play one at a time.

However, you would have to limit how many of your characters could send out companions, or else the economy would be worthless.

I would expect with something like this, that new slots would become available. Maybe not 16 but a few more at least. Usually when games unlock new character creation options, developers should consider those with full slots.

Extra char slots would give people more to do when they run out of things. Especially if you want to level a different ac class.

Yes more character slots would be nice for those who filled up way back at launch or January.

Maybe 2 or 3 more, but 16 in total would be excessive.
You can always start out on a new server.

I'd personally love to see about 20 more slots on my home server. I hate rerolling on other servers.

I mean hey - we're paying to play, and they're giving us more and more reasons to do so. Why not have a lot of slots for different ways to do so? Storage space is cheap.
