What do you expect from kids these days anyways any mmo vet that played way before WoW was even released knows that with a bit of patience the game will shine with a bit of tweaking!

Or you could just stop buying games that you don't like. If you don't know whether you will like it, JUST GOOGLE IT.

So we're too blame? What a huge relief. If I had continued to fault developers for saying one thing and delivering another I might have saved myself some heartache and cash. But knowing now that I should passively accept mediocrity so someone else' feelings can be spared the trauma of lurking game forums, its almost worth enduring.

Happening again with D3...Arena play is now removed upon launch.

Hardcore death is PvP is also removed - possibly from within Arena's too.

Basically Hardmore = PvE content only whereas before with D2 you had PvP and hardmode. Point being? Things change and games are rushed to make the all mighty dollar.

I really don't agree with that though. The article's author must have led a very sheltered online life if he thinks these forums are THAT bad. I've experienced many MMO launches and despite the negative comments here, the forums are very well moderated and things rarely descend into all out hostility.

The author really should have experienced Vanguards launch, despite the game having huge problems at launch, I actually felt sorry for the devs such was the venom coming from many of the comments.

I do like the picture of Obi wan and the caption though, 'You were the chosen one! You were supposed to destroy WoW, not become it!' I thought that was quite funny

You were the CHOSEN ONE!
You were supposed to DESTROY WOW
Not BECOME IT!

As soon as I read that, an image of Blizzard dressed up as Darth Vader pooped into my head saying -

Luke, I'm Your Father

lol, sorry

What that article confirms is that forum moderation is in fact not being effective enough.

Posts that are flagged on a technicality get locked and posts dripping with pointless acidity but that barely cross the line get away with it. Forum moderation is way too lax on the massive amount of trollers and allow the General forums to become a fairly useless bash field.

To stand out among MMO communities as "has already snagged the distinction of hosting the most acidic forums in massively multiplayer gaming." is a bit embarrasing and something that whoever moderates the moderators should stop and pay attention to. And do something about.

Show me an MMO that was released FINISHED. I wanna see that. Aint seen one yet. All MMOs are constantly UNFINISHED. Even years after release they are UNFINISHED.
