When it comes to PvP, DAoC did exactly one thing right (maybe two if you count having 3 factions). It's also something that would be nearly impossible to replicate in a modern MMO.

It's more like 1%, but they complain quite loudly and claim they are speaking for 90%, which they absolutely are not.

But your point stands.

I am, I am also totally aware that the "mythic" part of bioware is not exactly the original mythic who made daoc. I am even further aware that they joined up with bioware late in this projects life when ea bought them both out, and had lil say on what was gonna make it in the game pvp-wise, last minute, on a "fail for open world pvp" engine.

1.2 makes valor rank worthless pretty much. The new War Hero gear is better than BM, and can be worn by fresh 50's

When GW2 is out this game will be uninstalled. I want PvP. I want Warzones. I want balance. I want open world siege, factional combat like DAoC. SWTOR can't deliver.

GW2 will

For your sake, I hope it lives up to the hype.

I'll still be here in TOR, enjoying my PvE with a smidgen of side-game PvP.

No significant PvP is coming for the forseeable future (at least 9 months) it's safe to uninstall and enjoy other things in life

Having watched a ton of the gameplay videos while at the docs office today....

it wont.

slideshows with 20 people attacking a door. Outnumbered factions being zerged over in seconds.

When will people understand that words like "balance" "fairness" "skill" have no place in a conversation about "World PvP"

Not sure I'll really uninstall this game though, because it's still star wars and if they manage to get some good updates to PvP live, then I'll enjoy the game once in a while.
