Legacy System now DEMANDS 16 char slots per server

Creating a system that's focus seems to be an emphasis on alting and leveling, eight character slots is definitely too restrictive.

I agree with the OP that 16 is the magic number. It allows a player to have one of each AC, for either faction.

Expand the character slots, but limit the amount of characters that can send out Companions on missions to eight at any given time. This will prevent server economies from getting out of hand.

As far as legacy abilities go, they're apparently meant to be OP. Hence why they're not usable in full groups, or very often for that matter.

Damn I'm an altoholic and I don't got 8 different characters in one faction on one server.

I am for more character slots, have 6 atm been holding off last 2 too see what legacy brings. I like the idea of 16 and see no downside to having 16. Having 16 toons spamming crew skills maybe an issue but I don't feel it would be a major issue.

I think you've been slacking off then!
I have 4 characters already on the Rep side I don't want to re-roll.
I actually play rep and imp on different servers now, and both are full, I could re-roll about half of those, but 16 would be great. I can't see the difference in crafting if it's on one server or 2, the item to select a server is nothing compared to loading in XD
Even if they had a crafting UI in game for controlling other characters, they could limit the number of missions at one time.

I've currently 4 Republic & 4 Empire characters. One for each base class.

I would certainly most welcome an extension of 8 more slots, so I could enjoy experiencing each of the advanced classes.

And I rather have all my characters on the same server than split on various servers.

At the very least allow us to purchase additional slots.

May not be the best option but I definitely am one of those that want more than 8!!

You have 8 characters of the same faction on ONE server? IE 8 empire or 8 Republic on the same server.

With the 1.2 Legacy content it's a given that the character slots should be increased. Make it at least a solid 10 like in other MMO's.

My plan had always been to roll a full compliment of Empire characters on one server and a full compliment of Republic character on another. That way I could have one of each advanced class. I also wouldn't have characters on both sides of the conflict on the same server. Some people are ok with doing this, but I'm not a big fan. I don't think it should be banned or anything, its just not something I'm pumped for.

But, in order to get all the powers I need to have each main class (4 from each faction) on a single server. Even if I decide I'll just get by with only the Republic (or Empire's) powers that still leaves me in a little bit of a bind. Because if roll 8 Republic toons that means none of them can be Chiss, Rattaki, or Sith Pureblood, because I'll have no space for an Empire toon.

16 slots per sever is a lot. But I'm not sure what the harm would be.
