9 seconds of damage immunity, I thought you were in and watching the 3v3 tournament earlier today? In the finals the marauders lived for an incredibly long time because of these abilities/talents.

Also don't you PLAY sentinel? I'm confused.
All i saw was a guy complaining about the OPness of every class (the QQ about vanguard vanguard commando heal for ex), giving advice to everyone, whitout even be able to notice after 20+ days of playing that there is an ingame clock right under your minimap.

How are we suppose to take your statements seriously ?

LEt me tell you, even though i'm sipping down dat Jack Daniels on a Sunday night.

It just became clear to me.

Juggs can guard healers which in turn increases their survivability by effectively doubling their healers life.

Marauders, while kited (by GOOD players) do not have this luxury and rely solely on damage while close, yet survival while being kited. It all balances out.

Um... What are these "5 or more defensive cds" of which you speak?

Marauders and Sentinels have THREE defensive CDs. Saber Ward, Cloak of Pain (Rebuke for Sentinels), and Undying Rage (Guarded by the Force, for Sentinels).

Saber Ward has a THREE MINUTE cool down, with no way in Warzones to shorten that.

CoP reduces all incoming damage by 20%, but it only lasts for 6 seconds UNLESS the player is taking damage.

Some might count Force Camouflage, but that actually does nothing to add to your defense score and also only lasts for 4 seconds where if they do any direct damage, it ends the effect. The "Phantom" (Force Fade, for Sentinels), skill does NOT appear to actually work.

Saber Ward's ridiculously long cool down precludes it from being as useful as it could be, and the fact that Force Camo doesn't actually increase their defense score (and the skill that's supposed to allow it to doesn't appear to work) doesn't make it count as a defensive CD.

Undying Rage deals 50% of the character's current health in damage to the user. So, if you want to trade 50% of your current health for 5 seconds of 99% damage reduction, go for it. It's on the global CD though, so most people wait until they're around 5% health to trigger it, so it's VERY easy to get a Marauder or Sentinel down to 6 to 10% health, and then just burst damage or stun them until they die so that they can't use this power.

So, at best, Marauders/Sentinels have four "defensive CDs," but realistically only have 1 "reliable" one. Cloak of Pain/Rebuke.

Were there other powers you were thinking of that I missed?

Lastly, Juggernauts and Guardians are a tank class. IMO, a DPS spec Jugg or Guard should be just slightly worse than a non-DPS spec Maurader/Sentinel. Because they are a DPS class! If you want to be the best in DPS, play the class that's supposed to be a DPS class and DPS spec yourself.

That being said, Marauder/Sentinels aren't even the "best" or "easiest" classes for DPS. My guess is, you probably had a bad few Warzones where you kept getting slaughtered by a well-geared Sentinel or Marauder that was also a good player and probably had a pocket healer or something.

Yes. PLEASE! For the love of god fix Jugg/guardian DPS output! At least make my lightsaber melee attacks not feel like i'm using a stick to attack them.

It's like you guys come to the forum & rage (probably about whoever just killed you), about a new class every so often.

Give it a rest already. Look in the mirror & figure out how to counter stuff; try to get better. If you don't, there will always be someone who used an ability to kill you & you will always shout "to the forums" for nerfs.
ppl who know wth they talkin in pvp, known whats up w/ maruaders from 1st month the games out

its just theres so many baddys still to farm that we havent made big deal of it lol

but to be clear maruader & asassin (+ mirrors) got more pvp juice then all other classes.. what some ppl call 'op'

Sentinels/marauders should not have that CD that grants 99% reduction for 50% HP. It basically makes you an OP tank for 5s. No other tanking class has this type of CD so I don't see why one of the highest (if not the highest) single-target damage dealers have it. Reducing the 99% would do so you don't hit them for 2-digits (or even 1).

the call isnt for mara nerf.

its for jug buff.
the reasoning being that maras outperform jugs in both dps and survivability when both are specced for dps.

the focus/rage tree for juggs and guardians actually put out 30% more DPS than the marauder/sentinel counterparts.
