More character slots though yes!
Yeah, global friends as an option would be nice though

Just buy another copy of game have two accounts. It's what I did in wow cause I had full server of high levels on one account. Probably be doing the same with this game. You never have enough slots if you play all your characters on the same server.

One soultion might be to have extra character slots be something that's unlocked as a legacy reward. Kind of makes sense, in a way...

Wouldn't help unless you could link them legacy-wise though.
Real Star Wars space combat please, not Star Wars Fox! Maybe some PvP and flight too?

I know I've mentioned some legit reasons. YOU just may not think they are legit.

IDK about 16 but I definitely feel like I don't have enough slots now.

I don't think there are any really.

Warhammer online went up to 20+ per server once they got down to 1 server.

Legacy system rewards having characters in both factions.

Advanced class system creates 8 classes per faction.

So to have every advanced class in your Legacy, given that dual classing won't span advanced classes, you need 8 characters of each faction. That's 16 characters.

Something needs to budge. Either allow dual class to span advanced classes, or allow 16 characters per server.

Personally, I'd like 16 per server, because I agree with BioWare that the advanced classes are different enough that you should dual spec across them...but then just open up char slots...Possibly due to Legacy? Have a level 50?: Here's another char slot.

Further, the guild leader that commented on NOT wanting his guild members to spend time in a different guild on their cross faction alt (quite possibly/probably on a different server), was SPOT ON.

If you understand it so well, answer this: If someone already has 8 Republic characters on a server, how do they take advantage of the cross-faction functionality that the new Legacy system is bringing?

This makes so much sense. They have talked about legacy rewards being unlocked at different levels, ie 30, 50, so I believe this could easily apply to the character slot issue. If you level a character to 30, you get the ability to unlock an additional slot via the legacy system though it will be costly. If you level said character to 50 before buying the additional character slot it is lest costly. This way people with altoholism, like myself, can get much needed additional character slots but will significantly reduce the likelihood of someone making a bunch of alts that they do not actually play.
