ME1 is already why TOR went for full voice acting, based on how much they liked it in an early build of ME1.

Hasn't the Unreal Engine already been used for an MMO or two out there? I imagine TOR could've ran on it, and not had half the problems it already has. I know it's too late to change the engine for the game, but I can wish they would while I wait god knows how long for BioWare to hand fix every engine problem that has created fps lag(for most) and complete computer freezes(for myself and others).
The truthful answer to this question would probably get your *** banned off these forums so fast it would make your head spin.

Could you please post the screenshots from warzones, showing you indeed have 70 fps ?
You are not your rig specs. You are not your K/D ratio. You are not your character level. You are not your sig.

You know you're in a badly coded game when players start asking such questions.

Don't forget when people on the previous page start telling us their solution that fixed their game problems was reformatting their entire computer and starting from scratch. Yeah, if I have to reformat to make the game perform better, I think I'd rather hit that unsubscribe button instead.

I agree but many over ones have upgraded parts or even bought new computers to solve this issue. Processing with clean windows install is cheaper/more effective solution to be honest.

but if said person also said that first time of doing complete reinstall did NOT help but it was SECOND time that did it...

it all goes pretty far into grey matter of what did affect what and why and how?

Or one has to ask

"What are all the other game developers doing RIGHT, that allows their games to work flawlessly on my machine, that Bioware is doing WRONG that requires me to have to completely reformat and reseat all my hardware just to MAYBE get it to work?"

It comes down to bad programming. If 9 out of 10 developers can make a game that works fine on peoples systems, then why the hell cant that last developer do the same? It comes down to 3 reasons:

They...
1. Dont know how to
2. Dont have the time/resources to do it.
3. Dont care to do it.

Any of those 3 answers is bad for business. I think people just want bioware to give us an answer showing us, proving to us, that its NONE of those 3 things.

Bioware, can you do that?

And BioWare doesn't answer because it would mean admitting it's one of those 3. It'd be hard to admit that your engine is shoddy and you probably should've went with a better one. The PR below against your relationship with the maker of the engine would be disastrous indeed. Companies hate to make public any distaste for problems with their partners. So Hero Engine isn't the problem, so they just quietly bear it and try to work on it without saying a public word.

Its entireley possible mate.

I get 70+ on my desktop machine in warzones and a respectable 30+ when a 40 man war waging on Ilum, its a i5 2500k 8gb ram and GTX 480 SOC however due to its location I cant use it at night when kids are in bed so I play on my laptop i7 740QM 460 GTX 8GB Ram and the laptop is a pain in the backside.

45-80 FPS everywhere including huttball and voidstar. i step foot on Ilum or ald warzone and chugga chugga choo choo down to 7 FPS if I am lucky.

The PVE is pants as is all PVE so warzones are the only thing keeping me going and only being able to play 66% of my time without issues is becoming tedious to the point I've been hovering on that unsub button.
"If someone had came up to me in the 80s and said we will
be playing games with 1000s of people at the same time.
My response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

Hello, this post is purely to say what I did to resolve my issues with frame rate problems, I know there are 2 main issues it seems, 1. players level 50 and warzones issues with top end machines & 2. low to mid range machines not coping with the demand.

My issues is the second one. I have a mid level machine and could not play unless all my setting were very low.. so I read the forum and planned what I would do, this would be only trying the minimal amount then re testing.
Win7 DX11. mid range system.
So what I did was:

1st. Downloaded the most up to date catalyst/drivers for my Graphics card, on checking there was quite a few cards with very recent releases as in the past few days. When installing it gave me the choice to clean install at the bottom so ensured that it was checked.

2nd. Downloaded the DX files by going to the MS forum and clicking the editors choice that seems to install the missing dx 9 stuff (I am running dx11).

3rd. Changed windows desktop to windows classic.

4th. I used avg pc check to run a scan, during this it found at least 6 swtor files fragmented and fixed the clusters.. (maybe coincidence but anyway that happened), turned off some not needed startup progams, i.e adobe reader help.

5th Launched swtor, at char select screen, Ctr / Alt / Del, went to task manager, Processes, clicked the show for all users (wouldn't work otherwise) and put both Swtor on High priority. (seems you have to do this each time you launch swtor)

6th and last but not least, clicked graphics clicked it to high, low then back to high, turned shader to very low (advice from forum as there is some glitch with the settings so you have to do this.)

Now I am on High settings running around every where including the fleet with good results.

Hope this can help some people in the same situation i was in and improve their gaming experience.
