what does this mean exactly?

does the item gain modification slots?

does this mean it has better stats than the normal schematic?

thanks in advance.

when you score a crit on a crafted item, it will popup and say "so-so created XXXXX with great success!" You will see an open "augmentation" slot available on that item. The base stats are the same, but it can be slotted with an augmentation to boost the stats

is that basically an orange item or are there separate slots for augments?

Augments are specific types of modifications that you can get from Slicing missions.

What types of items can have an augmentation slot? Is it limited to weapons and armor or can there be other types as well?

I know that Implants & Ear Pieces can have them. I believe the weapons and armor can do the same.

If you crit while making a consumable or mod you get x2 of the item.
Republic? Empire? Both have way to many rules and regulations for an honest businessman carrying supplies.

Cool, thanks for the info!

Your signature needs a "too" for "...too many rules..."

Can you crit on the fully modifiable items like "Professional's Greaves"?

I have seen nothing to indicate that a crit on orange gear is not going to add an augment slot.

I have not done it, but I have every confidence that it is how it works.
