One of my guild members already has an alt at 45. My current secondary alt is at 37, and that's only because I've been running dailies for the rakata implants and earpieces on the main instead of leveling him. At current rates (1-50 per alt every 3 weeks) I should have 8 50s by mid August or early September.

Well 1st of all there are more than 8 races, and then there is a reason to roll different ACs on your 'main' faction, they are drastically different in some cases. Now what, im supposed to delete some imp toons and roll/zerg to 50/just to delete a pub toon to get legacy buff/race from it? Think I'll pass... Especially since we did not know how its gonna work exactly, they should give us 4 extra slots for republic stuff now or maxing stuff out would be silly - work on a toon to 50 just to delete it, how much fun is that.

Especially with multi-spec coming, and the mirrored issues being fixed up, 8 slots is "fine". Because there ARE only 8 AC's. 8 republic... and then the same 8 imperial. That being said, I can see how adding a couple more would be "nice", for those who somehow didn't know any better and accidentally picked the same class twice.

For everyone saying "You don't NEED 16 slots...." I would ask: How does it hurt you if there are 16 slots instead of 8 since you claim to only need 8? Why not up the number to 16 (so that those who already rolled 8 toons on a server can get some kind of benefit from the Legacy system. There isn't a penalty for not using all 8 slots on a server now, and there won't be a penalty for not using all 16 slots should they increase the number. If it helps some people and hurts no one, what does it matter?
