Don't know why they changed it, if it was because you could get to level four, they should of removed the xp gain from talking to trainers rather than slap yet another senseless restriction in the game, cause lord knows one thing SWTOR has too many of is senseless restrictions.
I think they added the XP to those quests so people getting to the fleet at level 9 would hit 10 before going on to the capitol worlds, because of all people in beta asking where the AC trainers were.
You are playing a frickin video game.
You are not hardcore by any reasonable definition.

No, it's working as intended. One of the main reasons was to reduce gold spammers from going to the fleet, which IMO is a good thing. Design flaw is seeing a gold selling site spelled out with dead level 1 gnomes in stormwind and orgrimmar...

It takes more than an hour. Seriously...
Looking for a good woman. Able to clean, cook, sew, catch bait, and clean fish. Must have boat and motor.

That's like buying 100 snakes to get rid of your mouse problem. Backwards logic.

Don't cut the nuts off of a core MMO design principal - take the time to design it the right way.

You know, from the get go, Bioware has touted Story, story, story, story, story, story, story, story, story ,story, story, story, story, story, story, story, story, story, story, story, and when you think it's done, even more story. For ****s sake, let me get my diving gear on and jump into all this story and try to find an actual MMORPG under all this story.

I don't think gold farmers are going to be all that deterred by having to powerlevel a new spambot through the starter worlds to be able to get them to the fleet or capitols to spam their websites in chat or mail. I'm guessing if you *just* did the class quests with a lvl 20 or whatever running you through them it would take under an hour.

Actually, I am all for how they have it setup.

The only spam I get from powerlevelers and gold sellers is in my mail.

Its nice not getting any gold sellers spam in chats and spelling out websites with bodies in the fleet.

I think the problem was that they could create new characters on any server, run to Fleet and spam this so called social hub with advertisements.

It was an easy solution. It really doesn't hurt you any. You weren't intended to go to Fleet so soon anyways.

Yup.

Heck, even the WOW players were asking for people to be level 5 before leaving the starting zones to help combat the level 1 spammers.

WoW has other options to get to the starting zone of your friends.

If this is a problem, the answer is to add another shuttle directly to the other starter world, not cut off the ability to play with your friends from level 1.

BioWare went to great lengths is their story system so that players could also view class stories of their friends. This prevents them from seeing the beginning - the most important part.

Lazy fix. And I am certain cannot be the permanent one.
