The only Sith who insisted his Desciples use RED was Emperor Palpatine...
He doesnt exist in the SWTOR timeline as its a few thousand years before his time.

LORE says Color isnt restricted by light/dark, but by what faction owns planets that contain crystal mines, like ilum....

Im sure any SITH or JEDI with enough money would be able to find a SMUGGLER to get them whatever color crystals they wanted... regardless of who controlled ilum. Its what Smugglers do

"Hey Han Solo , ill give you 50,000 credits to smuggle a green sabre crystal from Ilum...."

"make it 70 and we have a deal"

"60.."

"Done"

Thats all anyone would have to do to get the color of their chosing in Star Wars

Most people playing this game obviously don't give a glob of bantha poodoo for canon, so I fear we're in the minority on this.

The patch notes seemed unclear when compared to the announcement placed on the front page of the community site. Is it all color crystals that have had these requirements removed, or only some special (high-level) colors?
could roll a marluka their race ability is to see what someones alignment is

Does that mean the entire imperial navy is lightside?

Does that mean the entire republic navy is darkside?
No. It means, and I know this is unbelievable considering their perfect programming track record and complete lack of bugs in the program, someone made a mistake and assigned the wrong colors to the wrong fleets.

you might want to read up on what is canon before making such a ridiculous statement. i posted this in that other tread about this

"for those of you trying to say the eu should not be canon, please read this:

"Boba Fett, originally introduced as a villain in The Star Wars Holiday Special, was created for The Empire Strikes Back, and quickly became one of the most popular Star Wars characters. He went on to appear in Return of the Jedi and Attack of the Clones, ultimately we witness the first on screen camera time of the adult Boba Fett in Star Wars: A New Hope, Special Edition in the scene where Jabba the Hutt and Han Solo interact in Dock Bay 94 on Tatooine."

from here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Wa...anded_Universe

gl uses the eu, get over it."

that link shows many of the eu features taht gl himself has not only approved of, but used in his own creations. it is canon for force users to use whichever color crystal they want.

edit:fixed broken link

Both examples you gave (the movie and the game) were of Sith using red sabers. In that great trailer cinematic you refer to, it was Sith using the red sabers. The game - with the current restrictions - would have forced many of those Sith in that cinematic to have other colors.

The current restrictions prevent that iconic moment. Right now, there are hundreds (maybe thousands) of Sith playing this game that cannot use a red lightsaber because of their alignment.

Removing this restriction allows them - as Sith - to use a red saber.

How does allowing a Sith to use a red saber hurt the images you described?
"I know."

"Canon" is, according to George Lucas, what he put in the movies.

Frankly, nobody else gets a vote. George could issue a memo tomorrow and erase the entire EU.

In fact, I wish he would, but that's another story...

Also, you might want to read up on what is grammar, spelling, punctuation, and capitalization before making such a ridiculous post.

Hmmm....

May be wrong but the reason Sith have red is because they are synthetic crystals that they grow themselves.

Jedi, no matter how dark, do not have access to the techniques that creates a red crystal and so do not have them.

Ulic Qel Droma used a green bladed lightsaber as a Sith. Why? no access to red crystal I would guess. So only Sith can have access to red blades.

So it does not matter how dark sided your Jedi is. If he is not a Sith, he simply cannot get a red crystal. Also, just because a Jedi is Dark does not mean he is in agreement with the Empire.
