A friend of mine has been having this issue at his house with a different ISP and, obviously, a different router.

He's now sitting next to me, on his same laptop he uses at his house, but at my house, my ISP, my Router. I've never had this issue. Still aren't. He still is.

Can't be specific to router or ISP, so the information gathering you're doing isn't going to help troubleshoot if that's what you think the issue is. If it were the issue, I'd have been having the same issue on my desktop AND laptop I use to play the game.

Frequent disconnects since Friday, especially noticeable on Taris, which seems to be very unstable.

Country: USA (Washington State)
ISP: Comcast
Router: Linksys E4200 (Wired)
Server: The Harbinger

Would love to post the logs for you. Unfortunately, your forum software is too stupid to allow this. When I try to do so, I get the following error message:

Quote:
The following errors occurred with your submission:

1. You have included 22 images in your message. You are limited to using 20 images so please go back and correct the problem and then continue again.

Images include use of smilies, the BB code [img] tag and HTML <img> tags. The use of these is all subject to them being enabled by the administrator.
Want me to email them to you instead? The forum also barfs out a complaint when I try to post my DXDiag file, stating that it exceeds the character limit for the forums.

This issue has gotten better or worse after each weekly patch. I hadn't had more than an occasional DC for a few weeks, and now I am DCing when I am questing or more frustratingly in a warzones trying to complete my daily quest on my three toons I am leveling.

It is not an ISP issue for everyone, why aren't you collecting computer information as well, obviously when you fix things for some you are breaking it for others from the experience I have handover the last two months. It gets worse or better after patches which indicates to me it's a client not an ISP issue(that plus the evidence I have played multiple MMO'S with the same setup and had no issues.

USA (Alexandria, VA)

same again - but weirdly enough the connection is stable in the evenings and when I am raiding??!!

but during the day it is up and down all the time.

Have posted multiple tickets, sent dxdiags and logs etc.

have powercycled router all the time - used both wired and wireless, flushed dns, ip address cache, tcpip stack and winsock all to no avail and NO change...

have also created firewall rules for ALL the numbered ports indicated by support and for all application-connected .exe's as indicated.

Server: Nightmare lands

ISP is Be Broadband

www.bethere.co.uk

location is Yorkshire, UK

PS - this is pants - as is sending me a mail telling my PC is not good enough to run the game - it has managed to do so since pre-launch so that is clearly rubbish, as is a response that points the finger at my graphics card (what has a VGA card got to do with ports and network IP gateways and connectivity???!!)

as a CC engineer, I am a LITTLE bit knowledgeable in the area of networks and server connectivity and the problem is with a throttled server gateway with poor burst failover or redundancy I would have thought.

PLEASE FIX THIS - it is MADDENING!!!!

Greetings Skil_Z,

Can you all do the following please?

When you are logged into SWTOR, press the Alt+Tab keys together.

One thing I must mention to you Skil_Zis that connection issues although similar can occur for many different reasons and I am trying to get you to localize the problem so we can find a solution for you.

Greetings Honiig,

I would firstly advise you to upgrade your graphics drivers as they appear to be a small bit outdated.

Please read this helpful post on how to update your drivers.

Thank you.
