EA doesn't do free to play. Well see a Warhammer like maintenance mode or a Tabula Rasa style shut down within the year though. I mean when Bioware is already talking about doing a Mass effect MMO and talking about the "lessons learned for TOR" it makes it seem like Bioware itself is already preparing to move on.

Sadly most of those lessons learned from tor could have easily been learned before tor by just looking at other recent mmos and what they did wrong... for some reason however this just did not happen?!

Yeah. It's not a big deal that the pops have gone down. It's normal. They'll just merge some servers and things will improve drastically. I've also been impressed with the haste with which they've addressed issues with the game. Bioware is new to the MMO game, so I didn't expect great things straight out of the gate. I'm impressed with the leveling experience and some of the other things they're doing and have planned. Mostly, though, I'm impressed with how they've adapted to this genre of game. Just hope EA doesn't ruin it (false hope )

While bioware is new to the genre they did have lots of help from the warhammer staff, the daoc staff and presumably veterans from lots of other mmos, so that is not really an excuse especially when they repeated the same mistakes they did in games some of their staff came from!

Warhammer pop imbalance, warhammer game performance in large scale pvp etc etc...

I don't know what all you trolls are qqing about. This game isn't dead and won't be for a very long time. BW are doing a good job the game has only been out for 2 and a half months and look at the updates they are trying to bring in.

Not many other MMOs would be bringing out half the content this early on!

People say they have canceled subs this may be true but they play untill it runs out and then about a day later they resub probably just to moan about how they got beat badly and how every class is op apart from theirs.

BW keep up the great work, You have my £9.00 every single month!

Tera is utter crap, even the koreans hate it.

Secret world is a funcom project = that right there guarantees epic failure. Considering there track record consists of nothing but failures sense the company was founded in 1993

Gw2 = f2p with "cash shop" pretty much removes it from the scope of any competitive players. That and its a NCsoft title (almost everything they pump out is korean garbage)

D3 = is a multiplayer game not a MMO. thus does not even fall in the same market category

Ya they do, EA has fallen in love with cash shops ever sense they adopted it from the korean market. They have published a large amount of cash shop f2p titles recently (all of them utter garbage, like most f2p games).

As for Tabula rasa, not exactly a good example considering it was a NCsoft title not EA. Most US based MMO dont shut down like that. they go on lifesupport and milked for every penny they can get out of it (good example would be every SOE title)

There is no question the game is in a state of decline, wether it's rapid or gradual is open to debate. Bioware/EA have to do an even more monumental task now in trying to turn around the ship than it was to release it. They should have never released the game in the state that it was and should have thought about and implemented, simple basic cornerstones of any successful MMO at launch instead of saying "it's in the works for x y z". Their rush to get some cash flow could have sabotaged a potential cash cow.

1.2 Needs to deliver in an absolute gargantuan way or swtor will remain in mediocrity, only to be remembered as the game that "could have been".

What? LOL!

You are expecting tog et more and more people after first month?! Hehe. Why I have less people on the fleet then there were on X-mass?! Omg! It is dying!!!!!111
Why we have less people then at the start?! OMG OMG!!!!!11

Guys, grow up already. And THINK, I know it is hard for most of you, but THINK. Try at least.

When we started we had 4 friends ( I am talking about myself and my friends). One just disappeared, dunno why, it happends with him sometimes.
Another one went for holidays and now he broken his right arm and can`t play till he is better.
One more is here somewhere, but he is playing when he wants not 24/7.
And only me have stable online.
So it seems that we have 1 player of 4 still playing but that is wrong. Actually 3 is still playing. And that is happening worldwide (not broken arms I hope =)).
People got tired of farming, people get life, people go to vacations and getting other things to do. It is life. When you get the game you waited for so long you are exited and you play 24/7, but how long can you do that? For week, for month? Not for 3 moth in a row for sure.

Another point:
You say Fleet population went down? Yes it did. I noticed that. But, but! i was leveling my char and went from Fleet (90 people instead of 150 as I recall) to Belsavis to get my quests... There were 48 people FORTY EIGHT!
So it gives us 150, no? =)
Another thing against "OMG THIS GAME DIES!!!!111" is the fact that on my server we have same number on Ilum as we had when I first got there (2 month ago actually).
