But the software that comes with it has the ability to add delays to your macro's..

The
software
that
comes
with
the
mouse....

The RAT just looks a bit unruly. What do you like about it?
I bought a Razer Diamondback 3G the day they came out. I also bought the Razer Megalodon headset the day it came out as well. The Diamondback left and right main click buttons stopped working after 6 months. I had to toss it after I clearned it out and still nothing. The Megalodon likes to let me know its working then shut off randomly making me have to get up, unplug it, and plug it back in. If it does work that will cause my left ear to only work. Another replug will cause it to work properly and such until the next time.

I will be getting the MMO7 and a pair of Astro A40s . My friend had a the MMO7 and it has worked flawlessly on anything be puts it on. The tracking issue was there for the RAT 9/7 but thise lazer is a different one from those two and doesnt have that tracking issue any longer so far as iI can tell. I tryed it at his house and love it. I will be getting it asap and later on eventually chucking my Logitech G11 as it has had a good 6 year run.

I do wonder how a Microsoft Intellimouse 2.0 that I bought a LONG time ago lasted me 10 years yet the diamondback AND razer megalodon has lasted me a year ot less.

And
you
are
not
allowed
to
add
delays
to
your
macros
that
you
use
with
SWTOR

Bioware wrote SWTOR, they did not write the driver software and have no control over the driver software just what they allow you to do with the macros in the game.

a month before I left wow for this game, my g11 could string along as many things as I wanted useing its own software. This included adding delays after each ability use. I dont know why that guy had trouble doing it that you quoted but it worked that way.

But they are endorsing and advertising that mouse that comes with that software on the SWTOR, telling us how awesome it is for macros in SWTOR... then at the same time they say that their exclusive SWTOR mouse can't be used... like selling us a mouse with 5 buttons and telling us we can only use 3

They never said it cannot be used.

Yes they had complete control over the product they licensed.

riiight, I think I get it ...we're allowed to use the SWTOR mouse + Keyboard and its bundled software that they advertise and endorse on the SWTOR website as being great for macros (which has macro delays) but we're not allowed to actually use it as they sell it to us.

Pretty simple.

You CAN use it as they sell it to you. People in this thread are getting way to caught up in semantics. I though this was pretty open shut to be honest.

The mouse advertises the use of macros. Can you use macros in SWTOR...Yes.
Does the mouse have the ability to create macros with delays... Yes. Can you use THOSE macros' in SWTOR, no.

Where in the advertising of the mouse do they say you can use THOSE macros in SWTOR?

Its simple, the mouse (or software) enables the creation of macros which CAN be used in SWTOR, it never states what the rules are as to WHAT macros you can create.

Example, I create a macro that allows me to click one button on the mouse that uses one of 3 ability's depending on which is not on CD, this is a macro and is acceptable within the SWTOR TOS.

Example 2, I create a macro that casts ability A and then waits for the GCD to finish and then casts ability B, then waits for GCD and casts ability C, all without me ever pressing a button more than once, this is against the SWTOR TOS.

They simply said it comes with the ability to create macros which can be used in SWTOR, which is true. Does it also come with the ability to create macros that you can NOT use, yes. Simply because you may want to use this mouse with another game that does allow this, so limiting it would be silly.

Again, I don't mean to offend but I don't understand what people don't get.
