try it. just because you can play on the open lanes doesn't mean you can compete in the league matches. you want to play in a competitive league you need to be on a team. that's the way of things. for everyone else there's open lanes at the end with gutter guards upon request...

So, a pocket healer or two, vent or TS, and all their other premade teammates aren't enough of a boost? Bioware says "sure, you can have your separate queues but to pacify the loudest guilds, we have promised to give the premade pvp folks better gear" ?

If this is so, I'm out.

my point was not to fish for hugs or sarcasm from randoms, merely to point out that so long as the best gear is reserved for premades, then Bioware tells its whole playerbase it's premade or hit the road.

Simple.

Oh for gods sake, stop whining and make some friends. Its an MMO, not a MSO, if you have no friends to play with, find some.

I bowled on a league for 15 years. If there was room in a league and you wanted to play, they'd sure enough let you in.

If there was an open lane, and they could add you to a group of enough players, they would add you to a league. You'd be hard pressed to find any league that didnt want more players, of any operator that didnt want more business.

This is here nor there, if folks want to pug, let them, you seem confindent enough in your abilities.

Which will end the game.

Because the pvp isn't even good enough to keep true pvpers. Especially when it takes forever to get a ranked match because even the guilds with 8mans have someone out in the real world.

All this talk though, how are they even going to do the rankings. We don't have a clue and honestly when you think about team or guild based rankings its a joke, it has to be individual. If that's the case then might as well be able to Q solo.

Those people in the league don't get better (i think you mean bowling?) bowling-balls for it, so that they have an advantage about the new people who join the league. They rely on experience and skill alone.

You want a closed team-forced league, go ahead and play it without better gear to stomp newcomers. Otherwise you just get an endless gear spiral where older teams will roll newer ones not because of skill or expierience, but due to their gear advantage.

The added valor and unified medalchanges are a step, that points into a "equal chances for everyone" direction. Lets hope they will keep that one.

Yeah dude, I shun premades because I think it predetermines, or tries to, the outcome of the match before it starts. Realizing that most players are casual players who aspire to pvp greatness, it seems odd for a company that wants to be a WoW-beater to erect obstacles to that. I mean, how's it going to work when one of these eight person teams loses a member, say,.... on average every 3 or 4 months? I mean, how premade is that? Do all the other 7 on that team have their rankings reset to zero? Sounds reasonable.

what a load of #$%. How exactly would a match between a team in a league and 4 random guys count? seriously, if you want to be in a competitive team league you have to have a team. it's not really optional. i'm really curious how you guys would "rank" wins/losses against random pugs.
