Get a team....., but to "appease" everyone maybe do reward tier is a better option...
you cant appease everyone, those who do not want to put in the effort for the best reward have to settle for the 2nd best reward, but there has to be an elite bracket so gamers have something to go for, if not we all beat the game already and there is no point in playing

You can premake groups all you want, I want to be able to compete against you even if I am in a PvE guild.
Will your lives end if I Q with 7 people and beat you?
Since you are so good why don't you join a ranked warzone with your 7 random dudes and beat the other awful premades? We are all so bad and scared of losing to you right?

Maybe because you would get utterly annihilated and wouldnt even get out of the spawn before dying.

This ENTIRE thread is people QQ'ing about playing with others as part of a team.

Define MMORPG: Massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) is a genre of computer role-playing games in which a very large number of players interact with one another within a virtual game world.

Notice the MULTIPLAYER aspect of this definition. This is not a MSORPG (Massively singleplayer online role-playing game) so why are we arguing about playing as teams?

Get a team, or go play Skyrim. It's a great game and you can do all the solo content you want!

to dispell some solutions people have posted.

Allow pugs in Ranked Q.
Problem 1: Pugs will get rolled most of the time because people just Q up and afk, Q with no intention of winning, or just the shear fact that most premades will probably be communicating via Vent/Teamspeak and rapid communication in a match of equal skill will tip the balance in the premades favor. This means that Actual premade groups will win a lot of games against unorganized or undermotivated players which will inflate their rank and ability to buy gear.

Problem 2: Pugs will complain A LOT about getting rolled by Premades. this option makes 0 sense people already fight the idea of joining as a group let alone joining as an Op. Do you really want to go up against premades in a pug? Really? If they'd announced "You can now join WZs as a full Op" and not announced any ranked system at all this thread would be complaining about premades rolling pugs and how it's not fair.

Don't give better gear to ranked players.
Problem 1: Goes against the entire concept of rewarding challenge. Premade vs Premade is a challenge, it will be a more difficult fight and therefore justifies more reward.

Problem 2: Why have a ranked system at all if theres no separate reward structure? Even if it's not better gear 'anything' you give ranked players and not unranked players will make the unranked players jealous even if it's just a combat pet or different colored armor. The solo QQers are gonna complain either way.

Dont allow premades, no ranked system!
Problem 1: you've got more people upset that theres no competitive PVP in this game than the people who are upset that the system is going in.

Problem 2: you're not being forced to compete unless....

which brings me to the only real problem adn the only real solution. The only 'real' problem here is that ranked players will get better gear then play PUG WZs and have a gear advantage over the PUG players, a gear advantage they can never overcome without participating in a system they don't want to. it'd be like full raid gear being > PVP gear. raiders would own in PVP against pvpers who didn't want to raid in the first place. Ranked players having an advantage over PUG players in a 1v1 situation (i.e. outside of the ranked system) is actually not fair.

The only solution to this is scale Ranked gear down to BM levels when not in a Ranked WZ.

You'll be hardpressed to find some one who 'wants' the ranked system to complain about that fix, they still get their rewards in the Ranked WZ and they get the 'top' teir of unranked stats when they partcipate in the unranked. if they do complain then they obviously just want an unfair advantage over the pugs so they can have a monkeystompin good time with their gear and not have to actually play.

Anyone who complains about that actually is just complaining to hear themselves. If the gear is scaled to BM level and 'anyone' can grind to BM through regular WZs then there is no unfair advantage. The ecosystem of ranked PVP stays contained and everyone gets what they want.

What about those who want rewards for Open PVP and don't particularly like WZs?

Of course not, but if I want to do a raid, it is not the same 8 players all the time. We have guild of 300+ members. There is maybe two "core" raid groups of 8-10 members. Effectively we "GUILD PUG" it.... The same option needs to happen in ranked PvP. As getting the same group together ALL the time is tough, even for me, the semi-casual/hardcore-lite. I am just being devils advocate here.... I see both sides, but my instinct says....Get a team of players that have similars schedule, but it's hard to do on a consistant basis. And if it is not as consistant, how do you rank it properly. That's all...

hmmm didn't another game have rating requirements on gear? hey how's that game doin? could this game be any more carbon copy? tell me you dont feel exactly like your playing WoW when you think about pvp in this game. no really, maybe I'm stuck and just can't get past the fact that yet another mmo has chosen to make pvp gear based. Have's vs Have nots is old and boring.

how many of you would still play this game without the glowbat nostalgia?

next up to bat, Guild Wars 2.
Two there should be; no more, no less. One to embody the power, the other to crave it.

Ok, I'm sick of the ******s taking about people not wanting to play with others.

I don't like the premade only concept and I like playing with others. I belong to a guild and chat with guildies, help them with quests if needed etc. I'm a team player.

However the guild I'm in only has a few regular pvpers, like 3. So what the hell are we supposed to do if we want to do ranked pvp? Go to another guild? Stupid *** solution. Recruit more pvpers? Stupid *** solution.

You can't limit people or guilds based on the number of people they can work with. It has nothing to do with me wanting to play single player. If that was the case I wouldn't even pvp in the first place.
