Guys. This is exactly what will happen when they release rated WZs.

A whole 8 man full of Sorcs. 4 of them healers, 4 of them DPS. No one on their team will die... ever...
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through Power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.

Yeah, and why can't we solo Q to meet new like minded competitive friends if we don't roll in a competitive guild.

People always have such fail arguments.

I think it's funny that people think "making friends" is something they should get gear for.

I'm with the OP on this one (assuming it's true). Adding yet another layer of gear is BAD BAD BAD.

I haven't done my homework on rated warzones, but I'm totally against another layer of gear gained via __________________ fill in the blank (exploit/premade/rated WZ gear) that gives people yet another advantage over the fresh 50.

PvP is about FUN; stop making it about the grind. Leave grinding to pve.

Gawd when does GW2 come out.

Edit: if they are adding another layer of gear, then it should be exclusive to the rated WZ & not able to be worn in regular queues.

It is true, and I'm lucky I'm in a big guild so I will benefit from this, but does not change the fact its another idiotic idea from a really thick Dev team.

These clowns seem to have no idea what to do so they just do anything, why don't the idiots take 5 minutes step back read on the forums and see what the major gripes are, by the most people its f'ing simple not rocket science!

It's like they WANT this game to be another SWG super failure.

why should be rewarded for grouping? how about cause thats pretty much the one basic premise of any mmo? you get the best rewards in pve by grouping, and the larger the group the better the rewards. In pvp you group, you dont necessarily do it before entering the warzone but you're engaging in group play.

At the end of the day its a business, not a game, and if you encourage/create situations where more people will feel "involved" the more likely they are to keep playing. When you look into making soloing and grouping equivalent you run the risk of people just doing the soloing (lowest effort best reward).

lastly how exactly is it a crutch? the waiting in longer queues? still not having a full premade when you zone in? increasing the likelihood of winning by coordinating? what in this situation is giving them support other then they took the initiative to group?

People put too much stock in premades...the problem solo queuing is that you're likely to end up with a bunch of fails and that's why you lose; not because the other team was a pre made.

I run with a pre made of terrible class combos, we go in and destroy the charts but winning isn't easy because we have no healers and no ball carriers...we just blow people up and quad the dmg totals.

The team that wins is the team with the least amount of crappy players...the issue here is that there are so many bads queuing for pvp in this game it's a crap shoot. Premades deal with it too...4 people can't carry 4 bads.

Also, who is to say some of those pre made rated WZ geared players won't queue solo and end up on your team from time to time?

Horrible point. Why not just exclude every player who doesn't want to group from playing the game period?

Or better yet, how about you enjoy MMOs your way, and I'll enjoy them mine. If we're both having fun you shouldn't care what I'm doing or what gear I have.

No you don't, you get the reward for beating content (PvP or PvE)
If you can beat a raid solo you get the reward.
If you can beat it with less people you still get the reward.
If you can beat it with a pick-up-raid, you get the reward.
If you form a website and all get together in one large guild house that you chip in for and cant beat the content you do not get rewarded.
Organization helps you, it has never been a requirement and certainly not the goal.

In this case, if people want the challenge of Q'ing up against premades, let them compete. Don't be scared. The mechanic of matching people up via the solo Q works great mechanically. Let the people who want the challenge take the challenge. Let the cry babies about premades being too good continue to cry.
