Hahah, yeah. Pvp is a blast with stable framerates.

Not being able to see ball carriers and your ships galaxy map is a big downside though.

And every fire trap you cross in huttball is a game of russian roulette.

I have done this using an all-in-one .bat file that some one created. I tried 1.5GB, 2GB, 4GB... all the GFX and excluding and it still does not give me a performance increase.

I have:

Intel i7 930 OC'd to 3.0 GHZ
GTX 570
6gb Corsair Dominator DDR3 RAM
Corsair SSD 520/520

My CPU is at 19% load while playing, my GPU is at 30% load while playing and my RAM is at 4gb steadily allocated.

Flashpoints and PVE I get 110 FPS. In Warzones I get 20-25 FPS and the lag is annoying. It effects my ability to play at full potential.

What the hell is bottle necking??

I shouldn't have to delete the file to get decent FPS.

I just got done installing XP x64 and will install the game in the next couple hours and test. If it comes back with a huge increase in performance I'm willing to bet the problem, or i guess just my problem, resides in DirectX issues. Be back soon!

A friend of mine tried XP 64 and had a ton of issues with drivers and whatnot. Guess XP 64 was poorly supported. :-/

Someone was talking about "Tiny XP" in another thread but I know nothing about it other then they said it only takes a few hundred MB of drive space fully installed.

One day devlopers will wake up and make a true gaming OS. :-/

I actually tried Tinyxp, but it left out so many drivers i needed for basic operation that I couldn't actually get the OS in working condition, couldn't install drivers due to basic .dll's being gone, a lot of stuff actually. I'm getting the game installed now, so we'll see what's up.

For the Low FPS, try looking into yoru DirextX

If you are running a new system the chances are you might be missing dx9 files.

Also a guy posted about this issue the day after SWTOR came out.

Already did this mate. Didn't help me. Thanks for trying though, help is always appreciated.
By the way, installing updates to a new OS is a biyatch.

Yeah this game is pretty badly optimized imo, I can't find any solution that helps increase my fps at all. Heres my Dxdiag, maybe you all have some solutions.

Spoiler

SWTOR is on a SSD. My previous computer was AMD Phenom X4 3.4ghz Quad, 4GB DDR2 1066, and a GTX 470 1.2GB. After the upgrades I am seeing about the same fps as I did previously. Should I not have seen some sort of performance increase @_@
Rerolled Republic Commando- Why? Because Huttball gets old 15x's in a row. Seriously. -Infinity Gate-

nope, due to design of the game, client will NOT utilize more than two cores.
also due to design of engine/game, a lot of graphical effects depend completely on CPU
due to above two, amount of cores past three do not matter. (one left for OS and stuff)

clock speed of cores do matter though, which is why some OC'd intels at 4.5Ghz get lot better fps.

I can run the game at full graphics during world pve play. It runs smooth as silk while my hardware works hard to get it done. As soon as I jump on Ilum it's down to 4-10fps and my hardware seems to be bored with nothing to do. My graphics card during Ilum is cold to touch. I just spent 2.5grand on my machine. I can run BF3, Crysis 1 and 2 and pretty much any game at full settings except this one on Ilum.
Story driven mmo? When ever I read to my computer beta won't start, endgame doesn't appear, my CE store is still out on the street for everyone and I can't "sit". Bioware you lie!!!!
