55k repair bill

Credits are so easy to earn on this game I can't imagine ever running out. I do the dailies with another player each day and we bang them all out in like an hour. I then sell the 3 purple mods/enhancements I get for 45k a piece on the gtn. I've just made over 300k credits in an hour. I mean really it's ridiculous. I'll break 25 million by tomorrow without doing anything more than running dailies each day and raiding HM/NM KP and EV each week which take a little over an hour each for alien data cubes to make implants which I sell.

My experience of this is that the repair bills are too high. Without fail, the only people in my guild who say its not to hight are those that either craft pink crystals or warfront PvP alot.

For someone who organizes their game time around raids, the repair costs can be crippling.

I'm all for having them reduced somewhat or at least having raids give some credit reward to help.
Guild: Fractal
Server: Frostqueue... er.. I meant Frostclaw

There is one thing I don't understand ... you don't like dailies don't do them. You don't have to do dailies to get money. 2 ways to get easy money (and money alone) has already been given :
- space missions (75k in 20 mins every day ... I guess it's too much to ask)
- low-mid levels heroics and FPs

Personally, I've never sold my crafts, never used any of those tricks and have had no money problem on any of my toons because of WZ and PvP dailies but I guess PvP takes time when you don't enjoy it.

To the OP:

You're a progression raid guild leader, who's entire swtor play amounts to 3hrs 3 nights a week raiding?

To me, something's not quite right. You don't log in at all at other points in the week? Sounds to me like either you're gonna make for not the best guild leader (you only ever see any of your group on raid nights, no chat with them throughout the week etc?), or you do infact login more often than that.

If you do log in more often, use the time wisely. You say your profession is useless for money? Send your companions out on missions to gather resource stacks you can sell on the GTN instead. Run the high level space missions. Do a few dailies (dont have to go and run them all). And numerous other things that people in this thread have suggested.

If you literally have no other time for swtor than those 9hrs, maybe you should consider that you're not in the best position to be a raid guild leader, and take a back seat more? Maybe just go to two raid nights and make some money on the third?

Honestly though there seems to be a very odd divide in this game between those who never have any money, and those whose money is always through the roof. I have never had any trouble with credits throughout my time on this game, leveling, and at end game, theres never been a problem. I've not done anything special, never had that pre-nerf slicing, dont have biochem, etc, just sold some crafted stuff on GTN, picked up everything dropped from NPCs and vendored/GTNd it... don't know how others can't afford stuff. Feel like I probably gained somewhere in the region of 2 million credits just doing the dailies for rakata implants... that'd be a decent buffer for your 55k repair bill (~12 weeks?).

Just like in every other MMO that has "dailies", it's better to skip them... at least if it's just credits you are looking for.

If you are Republic, run Taral V... or pick another low level flashpoint that can net you 65-75k credits in 45 minutes or less. Dailies take a LOT longer to complete due to being spread out on two different planets. The credits per hour are NOT worth the time. Do dailies for the commendations. Once you have all the commendation items, continuing to do dailies is pretty moronic.

With the exception of buggy encounters or standing close to a ledge and you DON'T resist a knockback, you won't die. Run, kill, kill, run, vendor, repair.. profit.
I've got a lovely bunch of coconuts.

If you don't need the rakata implants, you can still do dailies for 6 days to get one and sell it on the GTN. It will probly sell for 1-2 million credits easily, so running the dailies for credits is a pretty good investment of your time, even if you are doing it just for credits.

Some people do like world pvp - it is a absurdly small number, even on PvP servers - however ironic that really is.

As for a server being all one faction, those that choose PvE servers probably would not be bothered that much at all over it.

he said he has a million credits on "all of his toons"...he never said he bought all inventory expansions, cargo bay expansions and speeder ranks. For all you know, he never bought any of them, and doesn't even have rank 1 speeder piloting.
Actually, he said he has a million credits "on each of his toons". Now, he may only have two toons, we have no way to know, but according to his post - if he has two characters, then he has 2 million credits combined.

Quote:
I have more than a million credits on all of my toons as well. Only my main has all inventory expansions, and I only have bought 3 cargo bay tabs on my main, my alts just have 2.
Most players still don't have their first level 50. Please insert that data into your perspective calculation.

You're right, buying all cargo bay & inventory expansions is a lot of dough...it's a lot of dough that doesn't need to be spent unless you are a big time crafter and are saving up mats for 1.2. For the average joe, there's no reason to spend that much money on all of the cargo bay & inventory slots.
Depends - companion gifts, moddable gear and some other items can soak a lot of bank space. You are correct though, there really isn't any reason to need the 3rd cargo bay unless you are a big time crafter. I have one cargo bay full of biochem materials. I'm not really sure why I keep materials under grade 6, I guess I just haven't shipped them over to the my market mule yet.

WoW had 2 Nice setups for Dailies, One in BC where you could make a good bit of gold of the Island Dailies, then in Cata with the Firelands. Sorry I do not like spending 3 hours every time I log on doing Dailies. This needs to change. The MMO Gaming community is getting too old for your pointless BS of spending hours on end grinding Dailies.

I am 31, have a kid on the way, work 50 hours a week as a DBA, and I am working on my BS in CIS. I do not have time to spend 9 to 12 hours a week of doing Dailies to get credits to raid. I raid already 3 nights a week for a total of 9 hours a week. I already play about 12 to 15 hours a week. Sorry This Game is not a JOB, Quest should either be packed together in 2 locations or repairs Cheaper. O and BTW Biochem is next to useless, I hardly know raiders that are not Biochem. I can Make Stims and Med Packs, I end up loosen credits by selling them because just about all raiders now are Biochems.

Sorry you have no argument on why one should give up running Operations just so they can spend time doing Dailies to have high cost of repairs.

Okay, this is gonna be fun.. well for me atleast

I'm 36, father of 3. 1 is 5 the 2nd is 3 and the youghest is 1. My daytime schedule is 5:00am I start working. I'm finished around 1300. Wife is working fulltime at the hospital. 9 hours a day - 6 days a week.
When I come home I pickup the kids from the nanny (who doesnt do that for free) I feed them, play with them and around 16:00 they goto sleep for a couple of hours. I log into the game and go do some dailies.

Around 1800 I make dinner, wife comes home at 1900 and then the 5 of us have dinner. 19:45 I log into the game and get ready to raid.

I have 2 million credits now. I dont use GTN, at all.

I raid 3 times a week and have plenty of time to do some dailies (you know, you can skip the heroics?) and still have loads of time to spend with my family.

You're lazy and you know it.

So you only spend 45 minutes a day with your wife?

Assuming you raid 3 hours - that would put you going to bed at 10:45pm (2245) with roughly 5.5-6hr of sleep.

That's a pretty packed schedule - while I certainly see you have time for your kids, what about time spent with your wife?

I'm expecting the Commendation mods and gear to go Bind on Pickup, but thanks for reminding everyone (including the devs) that you are able to sell them on the market.
